Vehicle Detail
1969 Honda CL175 Scrambler Although the starter button doesn't work (I've never investigated why) the bike starts easily enough with the kick starter or just bump starting it. It's a bit cold blooded and, like all carbed bikes, takes a few more kicks in the cold. When it's warm, and being ridden regularly it will start on the first kick. The speedometer and odometer don't work and it's currently only showing about 1080 miles, however, it is likely more than that. The left side carb appears to have a sticky float and it will overfill with fuel when idling or riding slowly. Solution? Ride fast! The books say the top speed on this bike is 82mph and that sounds about right. Seat of the pants tells me that I've had it up around 65-70mph with more to go. The pictures make it look a BIT better that it is. There are some dinks and scratches in the tank. The side covers are faded on the top. The handlebars and mirrors have some rust. The wheels have a little bit of surface rust. The exhaust is in really nice shape, but is missing the heat shield. Use the Buy it Now option and I will throw in a set of brand new chrome clubman bars. I will work with a shipping company if you need to do so, but will not arrange for shipping for you. Meaning, if somebody pulls up with a truck and trailer, I'll roll it down the driveway for them. NOTE: I will have more pictures up shortly as well as a video of it running. On Mar-11-14 at 12:31:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Search YouTube for X4wXdFQoAWg to see it running On Mar-11-14 at 12:36:52 PDT, seller added the following information:NOTE: the title is clear, i have had it run by both the local sheriff and the Sec of State. however it is not yet in my name. I am going on Friday to Sec of State to get it put in my name so that I can legally sell it. IF there are any issues, I will just end the auction. Don't worry, I will not accept any money without a clean and clear title to give to the buyer!
