1973 AMC Gremlin X Project. Car is in need of restoration and repair. I purchased the car off a hot rod shop that had it on consignment, and will do my best to describe everything as accurately as possible. The engine is a 304, HEI distributor, Edelbrock Intake, Holley 600, Headman Long Tubes to dual glass packs with side outlets. Fluidyne aluminum radiator. Summit Cam .496 Intake/.521 Exhaust, I was told the engine was rebuilt a few years back and has less then 1,000 miles since complete, I have pulled the valve covers and everything appears new. Engine runs good, will need header and valve cover gaskets from sitting.I was told transmission has a small stall converter and shift kit. There is a B&M ratchet shifter and a line lock present in the car. The Electrical system of the car will need a good going over, the starter solenoid appears burned up due to a sloppy battery relocation placed in the trunk. The dash wiring looks questionable at best, electrical tape and wire nuts, I have made no attempt to turn on any of the lights inside, or outside the car out of fear of possible fire. I have been starting the car by jumping the solenoid with a jump box and hard wiring the coil. The body has had patch work over the years, evidence of bondo and fiberglass in the rear quarter panels where they commonly rust, floor has had a patch put in it at some point, subframe is solid. Paint shows decent, about a 10 footer with a few small bubbles and chips, hood has a slight bend to it from someone pushing down on it against the springs. Although the engine starts and runs, I have not driven this car any distance, the brake pedal feels mushy as if there is air in the lines. Car does have the desirable front disc brakes on it. Interior shows wear, carpet is good, the seats are decent, center console and vent controls are not present, dash wiring is present but appears to have been repaired of the years shotty at best. Clean title in hand. Car is being sold As-Is Where-Is, acceptable payment will be cash upon picking up vehicle, delivery is possible and can be discussed before auction end.
