Vehicle Detail
Don't get stuck in the next blizzard! For sale is my fair to good condition Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab. It is virtually fully loaded. $6500 or best offer. I am selling because I had a kid recently and bought an SUV for the family which is more than capable to tow whatever I need it to do. And thus, my pickup truck doesn't get used anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love it... especially in the snow. But since I don't drive it anymore its time we go our separate ways. Highlights: - 6.0L Gas V8 Engine - 4L80 4 Speed Automatic Transmission - LT Package (top package) - Short Bed - Selectable 2WD, 4WD High, and 4WD Low - Crew Cab - 4 full size doors! - Leather Interior - Keyless Entry - Automatic Climate Control - Memory Drivers Seat - Heated and Power Front Seats - Cruise Control - Power Windows and Door Locks - Touchscreen DVD Played (in-dash) with BlueTooth and Remote! - Has a Tuffliner Bedliner - Tow Package - Rated to tow over 9200 lbs! Recent Upgrades/Maintenance: 1) Recently, one gas tank ago all four tires were replaced with new Bridgestones. They are awesome. They literally just pulled this truck through the massive snow storm we just got with ease. ($1000!) 2) I replaced the oil pump and timing chain November of last year (shortly after I bought it from Del Chevrolet in Paoli, PA). She looked like she was having some inconsistent oil pressure and I figured it was time. Since then, oil pressure has been 100% solid. She runs great. Also did a new timing cover gasket, crank seal gasket, water pump gaskets, and oil pan gaskets! Changed with Mobil 1 Oil and AC Delco Filter. 3) While I was under there doing the oil pump, I noticed the transmission was very shiny. It was likely rebuilt at some point because she shifts smooth. I can't verify that, but I can tell you the trans feels solid. 4) Computer is programmed by Complete Street Performance to run on 87 octane and make extra power doing it. Recommended to put 91+ in when towing heavy loads. 5) New front speakers. New rear speakers (uninstalled) to be included in sale. 6) Brand new GM key fob. Also has a spare key! The good: - She really drives nice and smooth. And has quite a bit of power to her. - 4WD works great. Plows through 8" of snow with ease. - The brakes work fantastic. The HD package includes really updated options for towing. I've towed 7000 lbs worth of car and trailer with this bad boy and not even needed to use trailer brakes and you barely even notice that you are towing so much - at least compared to my last truck. - Since the tires were just replaced, you won't have to worry about that added cost for quite some time! - This truck has lots of room in it. I actually bought it because of my incoming son last October and its worked out great while he accompanied me to work. The back has tons of room, and the seats even fold down to make a flat surface. - While I don't recommend it, this is a vehicle where you can rest assured you have the ability to punt someone off the road should that situation arise. - There is a "tow mode" option that changes the shifting pattern so you can tow even better! - DVD player works... all the time. *Cough* hotwired *cough* The not so hot: - The bumper has been replaced recently, but the plastic molding wasn't. It is cracked in places and the fog lights are missing in action. - The hood has a dent in it, and the deflector is cracked. (See pictures) - The driver's side fender flare is also missing in action. - The driver's side, rear wheel, has had its plastic cover ripped off of it. (See pictures) - The driver's side mirror is cracked. - Both side view mirrors do not work powerwise ($80 on ebay for both) - The tailgate handle is missing, but included with the sale is a new one in box and the trim. I just didn't get around to installing it. - The seats are for the most part in good condition for the miles, but there are a couple tears. The drivers seat I duct-taped over the tear to prevent it from further ripping itself apart on entry and exit. - The carpet in the back seats is trashed, figured a nice set of weathertech floormats would look nice. - One of the seatbelt latches in the back doesn't work. - If I recall correctly, one of the rear windows does not go down, I can't remember which one. Might just be a disconnected wire, might be the motor. - The fuel level sensor tends to glitch in and out and throws the low fuel light for a little. So basically, the car seems mechanically solid and quite nice to drive. The heated seats work and they are definitely comfortable. After tuning it, you can really feel the extra power. She tows like a champion for sure. I've towed to upstate NY and back to west chester and averaged 15.6 mpg (going by the fill up/miles method). Which I feel is really good for a gas engine in such a heavy truck towing 5500+ lbs. She pulls through the snow like a beast. Heat and AC work great, although the blower is a little noisy. Its comfortable, quiet, and you ride around like a boss, and you can do it alone, or bring 4 large men with you. She's a little rough around the edges, but if you are looking for a truck to do actual work - she's the best one out there. Ebay will not let me embed my own pictures in the listing, so I put them on one of my websites. Please see all 49 HD images of good and bad HERE. I'd post them, but this page would take forever to load. So be warned... the link is not dial up friendly. I've done my best to be as upfront and detailed with this listing as I could be. It may make the car sound like a dump, but it really is not. Its clean (clean title, no accident history although clearly its had some bumps) with a little roughness to the body. Overall a great driver, and a work truck you can do actual work with! Kelly Blue Book values the car at $7221 in good condition and $6596 in fair condition - either way, its still a great deal! Especially with all the recent work/maintenance!
