I have a 1971 Firebird Formula just brought out of a long stay in a heated & air conditioned shop. This car is a true 400 formula car according to the VIN but this is not a matching numbers car. The current engine is a 1974 Pontiac 455 engine bored .30 over with 1970 Pontiac heads. The previous owner claims that $12,000 was invested in the engine and $3,500 was invested in the TH-400 automatic transmission and drive-train but he did not have receipts available. The engine sounds great and even in this very cold Chicago weather the car fires up without a problem. This car has extremely minimal rust for a 43 year old Pontiac. The worst spot is the passenger side rear quarter, down low. Again this is a 43 year old car and it is not perfect but it runs, sounds, and drives great. This car is ready for the street or the strip. As you will see in the pictures it has a white exterior with a black interior. The screening under the Formula hood is perfect.
