This 1988 BMW 535i is a good running and driving one owner California car. It's a bit cosmetically challenged, but it can be driven while you improve it. The paint is somewhat faded, with clear coat issues on the hood, top, and trunk. Polishing may help. but it really could use a respray. The tires will need to be replaced soon as they are near the end of their usefulness. Wheels are aftermarket ASA alloys. Inside, the leather is a bit distressed but has a nice used character to it. Not ready for a re-dye, but hide food would be a good idea. The dashboard has a few small cracks. All controls appear to work with the exception of the AC and the radio. Mechanically, it runs and drives well. Lots of power and a good clutch feel. The brake pedal will occasionally fade under heavy braking, so it may need a new master cylinder soon. The true mileage is unknown as the odometer was replaced in 2008 and the replaced unit has stopped working as well. A good, one owner, 5 speed, 535i with a lot of life left in it.
