Vehicle Detail

For your consideration is a 1987 Chevrolet V20 4x4 3/4 ton Pickup. This is the last year of the "square body" with the straight axle, and the only of this style with factory fuel injection. I bought this truck from the original owner and have owned this truck for over 6 years. During this time I elected to go through and upgrade the entire drive train. The list of new parts is endless. This truck has been used as a truck, but has never been abused, wheeled off road, or thrashed otherwise. The paint is what I would consider a drivers quality job, its older and shows its age. There are some scratches and dents but it is very respectable and rust free. All of the A/C system is new with exception of the pump, I'm a nuts and bolts guy not an A/C guy so I haven't had it charged yet. MOTOR- 5.7L vortec 350 with a stand alone wiring harness and upgraded fuel delivery system. -K&N cold air intake, -SIngle 3" Exhaust with flow master muffler and High performance Catalytic converter, Complies with Oregons DEQ standards -104 amp alternator with dual batteries and isolator system TRANSMISSION -Built 700r4 from a 1989 Chevy pickup. Wiring conversion from Bowtie Overdrives -Auxillary Trans cooler with electric fan - Custom gauge cluster with integrated Trans temp gauge -B&M 6 Quart deep trans pan. TRANSFER CASE- New process 241C four wheel drive works flawlessly -New slip shaft bushing and rear seal FRONT AXLE - Big Hub Dana 44, 4:11 gears, open carrier, -New brakes and rotors as of approx 6000 miles -Polyurethane swat bar and leaf spring bushings -Factory quad front shocks REAR AXLE- Full Floater cooperate 14 bolt, 4:11 gears, open carrier, 4wd factory rear disc brake kit. Firestone "Ride-Rite" Airbag overload system. -New rear driveline, to compensate for the 3" lift, built by driveline specialties of Portland, Oregon INTERIOR- Silverado package - Has all been replaced, New carpet kit, door panels, Seat has been recovered, including new foam pad. - Both power windows and door locks work, passenger side window is a bit slow. -Custom headliner with grab handles and overhead console from a 2005 Chevy Silverado. -Tilt steering column with 1991 sport wheel STEREO- Pioneer DEH8000 head unit, MP3, satellite ready with iPod dock -Eclipse amplifier -Eclipse 3 way component speaker system installed in custom cab corner boxes WHEELS AND TIRES-American Racing 16x8 Alloy wheels -Wild country 235/85R16 Conservative estimate 45% tread life left with even wear TOWING- I built a set of custom camper tie downs based on newer frame mounted systems, They work great! -Hitch receiver in the rear, trailer wiring 7/4 way plugs - Electronic trailer brakes -Trailer wiring outlet also installed in the bed for a camper or fifth wheel. BODY- The truck it a great solid driver, but it's not a show truck, It does have some dents, the worst being the passenger side door. I bought it from an elderly gentleman who was starting to have a hard time driving. The paint still shines nice, and it currently has all of the factory body panels. No Chinese repo junk. I did put a care support and grill out of a 1991 suburban in it. GENERAL INFO: I built this truck to be a turn key driver. All of the modifications are done cleanly and functional. The fuel system was upgraded to support the Vortec motor, both fuel tanks work great. The vortec computer resides under the dash where the factory TBI computer was. I would hop in the truck and drive it anywhere. I search a long time to find a truck of this vintage with no rust. I had intentions of doing the body and paint work to finish it off, but the truck no longer comfortably fits my family. As you can imagine I have invested a lot of time and money into this truck. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I do have many receipts from the work done. I do have some extra parts that come along with it, plywood side racks for hauling wood, powder coated hood hinges, the original side view mirror (it currently has factory option extended tow mirrors on it) and some other misc parts. This truck is being sold in as-is condition no warranty expressed or implied. $500 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT due within 48hrs of auctions end. I'm sure that I have forgotten a few things. If I think of them I will update the post. I do not have the time to deliver this truck, however I will try to help with reasonable shipping requests. PS I will post a newer picture of the engine compartment tomorrow. The one shown is an older one that doesn't do it justice.
