Vehicle Detail
My car will make an excellent first car for you. It runs fine and takes me around town with no operational problems. The car is loud both outside and inside, but a little music or audiobook reduces the distraction. I don't even notice it after driving this car for 5 years. Some people pay lots of money to make their cars loud! This is not a muffler issue. The entire exhaust assembly was completely replaced about a year ago. Very easy to do. Two bolts at the manifold and undo a couple brackets and rubber hangers and the entire muffler system can be replaced by anyone. I ordered mine from AutoZone. No more trips to the muffler shop. Great way to learn how to work on cars without getting discouraged during the process. This car has passed Virginia State safety inspections and has 4 more months on the inspection. The vehicle also passed DEQ emissions inspection. The A/C blows cold in the summer and the heater is toasty in the winter. The car gets around 27 combined MPG. Fuel pump was replaced about two years ago. The car does need about a quart of oil every 3 months, but it does not seem to burn it (no smoke) or spill it on the driveway (no spots). My mechanic tells me that he thinks it's a head gasket issue, but I don't worry about it much. I just give it oil for the entire time I've owned it. No problems. The exterior has little paint nicks and small scratches as you may be able to see in the pictures. No major dings or dents. The interior isn't the best, but it's relatively clean upholstery. No major stains, rips, or tears in the seats. No pets or smoking. I am the only driver. The back portion of the headliner does have many knicks and tears, but these don't hang down or droop like some of those annoying headliners can do. These are just places where I put tall boxes in the back seat and they hit the ceiling too many times. There is a removable electronic key underneath the steering column that will disable the car from starting even if the key is used. This is a nice feature to have if I park somewhere I've never been before. I've used it to leave the key in the running position to warm up the car without worrying about the car getting too far if someone tries to start it up again. The fuel door also locks from the inside. The bluetooth stereo CD player has a removable face plate for more security. The CD-RW player can play regular CDs and MP3/WMA CDs. There is also a USB port for digital players and a mini stereo jack port on the front of the player for all the other devices in the world. The car stereo has HD Radio built-in so you can get those extra channels. I personally use the Bluetooth music streaming all the time to listen to music, podcasts, and audibooks on my android. If someone calls me while listening, the music pauses to let me talk and resumes playing after I hang up. There is a big answer button w/ microphone on the driver side sun visor for hands-free answering and talking. The tail lights and turn signals have been replaced and upgraded to LED bulbs for longer life. The cars comes with some heavy duty floor mats. Black ones in the front, clear ones in the back. The 12V receptacle is broken, but I mounted a replacement 3-way 12V socket on the side of the console. The battery is only a year old. If you have any more questions or want to test drive it, call me at 1-855-978-8827. I will consider all offers.
