Purchased this 1995 Chevy Caprice from a local Police Department on 02/4/2010 with 110k miles. This car was the Chiefs personal car but was a 4.3 L99 car. When I got it home the transformation started since this car was all original and has no rust on it anywhere. I also have a Car Fax on the car. Over the past three years I took the this car to the next level. I always do things right the first time with good parts and good quality work. I did all the work myself over the last three years Pulled the body off the frame, replaced all body bushings with the black energy suspensions ones. While the body was off , I POR 15 (black coating paint) the entire under side. Installed a complete wrecked 95 Impala ss drive train with 78k. While the new Lt1 was out. I replaced EVERY gasket and seal on the engine, had transmission rebuilt, and rear end bearings replaced. Replaced every part on the underside. Installed new 9C1 springs, new upper and lower ball joints, sway bar links, New exhaust, ect . Installed Cold Ram air system, painted the intake. 308 gears with posi rear end, new disk brakes and rotors, new shocks. On the outside, I installed a full strobe light kit, wigs wags, and air horn. the strobes are in the corner light and rear tail lights. the light are yellow and white up front and all red in the rears. (Complete legal in all states.) Installed custom grill, Impala SS truck lid and spoiler, Impala ss door handles, and impala ss lower trim, Impala ss front and rear bumper, front police push bumper, sandblasted and painted 9c1 wheels, new tires, new brakes, ect. The Dark Cherry Metallic paint is all original and near perfect. Has just a few tiny dings that can only be seen when the sunlight hit them perfect, no rust, no paint damage, no dents, no hail damage, no issues, and shows really good when clean. The inside was maroon when originally purchased, but I wanted gray so I bought a complete grey 9C1 interior over the years. The 9c1 seats are perfect with no tears or stains, the dash is brand new, and the police center console all work. It has a CB radio and light control box, police center console, police Kel light flash light, and a video camera just for looks only. The front dash strobe and rear deck red light strobes are completely removable. The entire inside is now all original grey and looks real nice. I added power seats and added the factory power seat wiring The door panels have all been fixed with no cracks, and all (front and Back) window rollers have been installed with the new rounds one. Car is near mint and drives perfect. All lights light up at night including all radio lights. I have won a few car shows for "Best Display " and cleanest car. I AM A POLICE OFFICER IN ST. On Feb-24-14 at 10:52:39 PST, seller added the following information: A few questions about the yellow lights on dash and inside in the rear. The one on the dash I have Velcro on and I usually take it down driving around or it is very easy to completely removable. There is no holes or cracks in the dash anywhere. The rear decks light are also just held up by the headliner and can be taken down in a few seconds or removed. The is a speaker on the right side of the hood for the police air horn deal. The strobe pack is mounted very nicely in the truck underside next to the rear speakers and the front strobe pack is mounted on top of the pcm with a custom metal plate. I will give the new owner a lifetime supply of white strobe bulbs with purchase of the car. The push bumper is mounted with no holes in the bumper and can push car if needed. I custom made the brackets, but it is also removable with 6 boltes if someone wanted to remove it or the front bumper cover. Its a fun car and get tons of attention! Thanks for looking. Again text or call with any questions.On Feb-28-14 at 05:03:32 PST, seller added the following information: I going to post some pics of the engine install: But before I installed the LT1 , I removed the oil pan, replaced all gaskets including the a new rear main seal, all other seals, and new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new GM opti spark (no china junk), new water pump, new timing chain, and painted the block gloss black. I also installed new exhaust manifold gaskets with new Grade 8 manifold bolts so they will newer break again. I did all this stuff just because it was easy since the engine was already out sitting on a stand.
