Personal daily driver for the last 3 years. It IS A 5 SPEED MANUAL (NOT AN AUTOMATIC) Transmission. Good on gas!! Cost approximately $45 to fill the tank and can drive for quite some time on it. New brakes and all new wheel bearings all the way around this past year. Check engine light comes on every once in a while, but cant find any problems. Its a good starter SUV, gas saver, etc. I wont say its a winter rat because its a decent SUV, and I trust it enough that I drive my kids in it. Gets from point A to Point B every time I need it to.The windshield wiper arm mount (by steering wheel) cracked, but still works, needs tires. Heat works, power windows and locks work. Clutch is seems to be still good , goes into every gear and reverse as it should, starts every time even in the cold weather we've been having in the negatives. A little elbow grease and love and it can back to a clean excellent car. I have purchased another vehicle and would like this sold and picked up immediately. DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO BUY. I am an honest person, I just want this car sold so I can buy my family another vehicle. Here are some questions I received from the last auction:Q: Hello, I have some more questions: 1. Why is the top of the steering column exposed? 2. Why is there a hole on the center dash/console of the vehicle, between the steering wheel and the heat duct. 3. Does the vehicle have air conditioning? If so, does it work properly (i.e. cool down the interior of the vehicle as expected). 4. What is the condition of the interior (front and back)? How are the seats? How is the carpet? 5. Is there anything that you know of at this time that will need replacing within the near future? Any maintenance coming due (timing belt, strut replacement, tires)? 6. How is the clutch? Does it "grab" properly? 7. How is the frame of the vehicle? Any rust that is a problem? 8. Any engine problems? Has the vehicle ever overheated? Has the vehicle ever been submerged? Does blue or white smoke emanate from the tail pipe? 9. Anything else that you know about the vehicle which will negatively impact its performance? Thanks.Feb-03-14A: 1) My son broke the wiper arm goofing around in the car, I took it off to fix it and couldnt figure out how to. Wipers stil work and I have the cover. 2) there is a coin tray/holder piece that goes there, I took my pioneer cd player out and put it back together while it was freezing out and forgot it. I have that as well. 3) it does have AC, I haven't used it since the summer obviously, but it worked then 4) the interior is ok, I have 3 young boys so its not excellent by any means. A good cleaning would obviously be worth the time. 5) I know it will need tires, but I don't believe anything mechanical is an issue. Like I stated, it starts everytime, first try, even in the really cold weather, and drives me from A to B. 6) The clutch is in good condition, to me it grabs fine, seems to shift fine and every gear works without issue, and goes into reverse with no issue 7) I couldnt tell you if the frame is rusty. I don't believe so, but I live in Syracuse, and the car has been in upstate NY most of its life as far as I know 8) never over heated, never submerged, no smoke 9)I don't think its a terrible car, its not perfect by any means and if someone wanted to put a little work into it it would be a very good, solid vehicle, but I have gotten every bit of use out of it. I have towed my sons dirt bikes with it, driven to florida and back several times, and go to work every day. I have definitely used it, its not the cleanest, and there are some scratches. But its a very good vehicle.Q: Hello, Regarding the check engine light; do you know why it flashed on and off? I understand that Auto Zone stores (at least in Chicago area) will perform a code scan on a vehicle for free. Can you have this done? I see that Auto Zone stores are in the Rochester, NY area. The code scan could provide information as to if something simple is needed (such as a new O2 sensor) or if something else is the cause for the check engine light. Thanks. Feb-03-14A: No I don't, The engine starts every time, and I drive it every day, I had it looked at in the fall and it went off then came back on. Im honestly not sure, I only want to say what I know. Q: Hello, Woukd you trust this to drive a 1000 miles to Chicago? A: I will not guarantee that. It is my daily driver to work, I am an electrician and I drive anywhere from 50-100 miles to each job site every day and it gets me there and back.
