This auction is for a fully restored 1963 Karmann Ghia coupe. The car has been gone over from top to bottom starting with the exterior work on the vehicle. All body work was repaired, and the vehicle was painted Corvette Torch Red. The bumpers are brand new, all exterior emblems are new. All gaskets have been replaced including engine and trunk gaskets, window gaskets, windshield molding, rear window molding. The floor boards are in excellent shape and are not rotted. The chassis has new drum brakes all around, new shocks. There is some slight play in steering box. The interior was completely upholstered. Only flaw is mark on rear seat cushion. The engine has been completely rebuilt with new crank, pistons, rods, heads were redone, new gaskets, upgraded to 12v ignition system, upgraded dual carburetors. The transmission has a short throw shifter. The car is in excellent shape. You really have to see it to appreciate the work that was done. The body work and paint work is excellent.
