For sale by the original owner is a 1991 Honda Civic Si. I am selling the car for a good friend and have known the car since it was purchased. In the car's 273k mile travels it has been used as/for a daily driver, kayak/bike hauler, cross country drives, auto crossing and general cruising. With the exception of a minor bend from a truck bumper which broke the tail light lens on the right rear when the car was young, the paint is original. The interior is original and reflects the care and treatment that the car has had throughout its life. All systems work with the exception of the air conditioning which will need a compressor and system update to function. The car starts, runs, shifts and drives excellent. It tracks true and rolls smooth and will deliver 35-38 mpg consistently. Included are service records since new of oil changes, timing belt service, brake service, repair work and modifications, etc. A JVC HD radio/CD player w/USB input stereo w/upgrade door speakers in stock location and wired for rear sub-woofer is installed. Sunroof works smoothly. Other than the mileage, some of which has been addressed with the following modifications and updates, there are very few issues with this car. Engine and drivetrain;+ 09/05 @ 222K miles the original engine was replaced with a used engine from Foreign Engines Inc., Coeur d'Alene, ID, # ZC/D16A6 A 1590cc SOHC. Mileage was unknown at time of swap but it is generally understood that the imported engines are of low or moderate mileage. New half-shafts were installed at that time as well as timing belt service. The engine had a 4 into 1 header installed with replacement engine and a recent (2012) full header back stainless exhaust system installed. The engine idles smoothly, has good power and revs freely. Both engine and transmission were JDM and there have been no issues with either. + 12/09 @ 259K miles the original transmission was replaced with a used imported Japanese transmission from the same supplier as the engine.. .mileage unknown. New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, etc. installed at that time. Both engine and transmission were JDM and there have been no issues with either. + 07/09 @ 255K Installation of Energy Suspension master bushing kit, trailing arm bushings and compensator arms + 10/10 @ 263K New shocks and springs installed front and rear. Koni Sport externally adjustable shocks with 300# coil over springs. This allows the car's ride height to be adjusted + 02/05 Installed new radiator and hoses + 02/12 4 wheel alignment + 2009 replaced ignition module + 2008 new windshield. + 2012 New factory steering rack installed + 2012 New brake master cylinder, stainless steel brake lines installed. Also included with the car is a set of Motegi 15" x 7" black wheels (no tires), original set of wheel covers and 4 original steel rims ( w/worn tires). The Motegi wheels are true and in excellent shape. All lugs, wheel centering rings and necessary hardware are included to mount any combination of wheels. Another included item is a Yakama 2 bike carrier rack. (not pictured) The car being a 1991 model with mostly original paint, it shows some rock chips to the front hood and three door dings on the driver's side. There is NO RUST in this car and it has no accident history. This car has been like a member of the family. It has been enjoyed, cared for and updated. I am confident the buyer can drive this car home if he/she chooses to. There is a lot of life left in this Honda and on its way to becoming a classic. The reason for selling is making space for new projects.
