The gentleman that put this car together is an Electrical Engineer and worked meticulously for almost a decade to do what toyota wasn't able to do. Perfection! The car was taken apart and completely restored with premium parts and upgraded components. There was no expense spared on the build. The car has been completely restored from the ground up to almost showroom condition. All of the plastics have been swapped. There are no dents or scratches; It looks like a brand new car. The original 4 cylinder 2.2 engine was swapped out for a brand new V6 1MZFE Toyota engine which is lighter and pushes this car with amazing torque. The entire body is flawless and the sound is amazing! This is truly a collectors car. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT THIS CAR CAN AND WILL LAST 20+ MORE YEARS WITH THE RIGHT OWNER. THE WORK DONE TO THIS CAR IS ASTONISHING. The engine swap was done meticulously with every single hose and bolt replaced! This thing drives like a super-car. The engine is approximately 390lbs less than the 3SGTE turbo engine with almost no fail points compared to the turbo. The car is Capable of 12.5 1/4 mile maybe better with the right tune. The engine is powered by a premium Lexus ES300 ECU! No need to fear constant break downs! Words can not describe this car. The second-generation Toyota MR2 was produced from 1991-'95. The MR2's mid-engine placement created a finely balanced chassis. Cornering is flat and the handling in extremely impressive. The car was modeled after the Ferrari F355 hence the nickname Poor Man's Ferrari. Given that even the newest year of the second-generation Toyota MR2 is almost 2 decades old, the odds of finding a pristine example are low. Most examples you'll find have been used and abused; as with any performance car of this vintage. There were less then 10,000 of these cars imported to the united states between 91-95. Many have been destroyed, molested, totaled, parted out, and left for dead.
