For sale is a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta TDI with manual transmission. It runs and drives 100%, gets 50 MPG on the highway and is being sold with no reserve. The fuel efficient yet powerful 1.9L turbo diesel engine purrs along without a miss. No "check engine" or any other warning lights. The 5 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly with plenty of clutch. The steering, brakes and suspension seem fine. No exhaust leaks. The exterior is a glossy dark blue. There are no major dents or dings however it is not perfect. There are a few scratches that one might expect on a dark car with 221K miles. No body rust. No windshield chips or cracks. The tires, on factory alloy wheels, have about 40% tread (see pic). The lights and lenses are bright but the right tail light is cracked (see pic). The interior is gray carpet and seats. The front seats are heated with no wear spots or stains. The driver seat is a power seat. No wear spots on the carpet. The floor mats and interior in general could use a good cleaning. There is a factory sound system with CD. The heat is hot and the AC is cold. All the power options such as windows, side mirrors, cruise control, etc. work as designed. Despite the miles, the Jetta TDI is known for the fuel efficiency and long engine life. The manual transmission makes this vehicle even more fuel efficient. There are no mechanical issues with this vehicle and no indication of any impending problems. The new owner will be able to drive it home, with confidence, no matter where they live. This one owner Jetta is being sold by a Maryland Used Car Dealer.
