The overall condition of this M3 is super nice inside and out! This car has been properly cared for and well maintained since it was new by Patrick BMW in Schamburg IL, where it was also originally purchased by the previous owner who is also a windy city bmw cca club member. This car has always been serviced at the Patrick facility, and I have a folder of over $25k worth of receipts in preventative maintenance work that has been done. Most recently all the ignition coils were replaced, the wheels and tires have been replaced, the suspension has been replaced, and most importantly all the dealer recommended inspections have been completed on time when they were due. Please note that this is not your typical 01' E46 M3, I was in search of this car for over a year, my last E46 M3 was an SMG 04' with 50k, but I really wanted to purchase a 6spd manual. As i started searching I started running into the same issue over and over again of most of the cars were beat and abused, many were tracked and many owned by younger individuals, which made them rougher cars in general. The main thing that attracted me was that i was purchasing from the original owner, who everyone at the patrick bmw dealership where I have bought many cars from would vouch for this car over and over, in fact the sales man that sold it to him back in 01' told me if he knew it was for sale he would have beat me to it. Once again this car has never tracked, autox, or raced, and since everything was done at the dealer it gave me a piece of mind over any other car that I found for sale on the market at a dealer or by a private seller. Most of these cars due to the age they have been owned by mutiple people, and have a very limited amount of information available in regards to where it was maintained, how it was driven, and how it was taken care of. This car has always zymol waxed, garage kept, never driven in chicago winters. I really don't want to part with the car but recently I had the opportunity to be able to purchase an EVO E30 M3 and I need to make room in my garage. Please note this car is in great condition but being a used car please have realistic expectations. Exterior condition I would rate a 9.5/10 only flaws are some stress marks/chips on the bumper from some rock chips, rear quarter there is a minor ding about half inch, tires id say they have plenty of tread left they were only put on a few months ago, rims are brand new as well, there are no rock chips on the hood, rear bumper is in excellent shape. You must come see this car to really appreciate it.
