I am selling an extremely nice 1986 Porsche 911 Targa. Car is very well preserved and is kept in a car bubble (see pic). It is very original and was owned by the same individual since 1990. I have all documents from 1990, as well as the old school negotiations on the purchase of the car through fax and snail mail. Pretty cool to read the old notes and see that the original 80's Motorola car phone was a critical part of the negotiations! The receipts and maintenance log are incredible. Car was well cared for and I have all the documents itemized in a folder (see pic). Dealer performed an engine out reseal, new clutch, new tensioners, valve guides, etc., at 40K miles in the late 1990's at a cost of $9500 +. Too many items to list, but that is a nice highlight. Car starts right up, idles smoothly builds great power under acceleration. Just serviced 12/3/2013 and no expense spared w/ engine out maintenance service and all backside gaskets, temp. sensor and oil pressure sending unit replaced. Also replaced front and rear hood struts. Try to find one where that all has been done recently. 2nd owner bought wider MSW wheels for car and they were restored and body colored awhile back. It was a "special wishes" paint to sample car in Garnet Red. Interior is in near perfect condition save for normal seat wear. Door panels, dash and carpet are fantastic. No signs of collision repair, all panels and bolts look to be original and unturned. I have a receipt for quarter panel paint work done by the dealer quite a while back. Has to be a scratch or door ding? It had an old 80's front bra on it and it wore two areas near headlamps, minor though (see pic). Vehicle has new tires and new brakes at all 4 corners within the last 2 months. Mileage is all documented and accounted for, save the last few years when odometer broke. I repaired original odo at reputable local shop and now functions as it should. Mileage shows 63K, I know it is very close to that as it was mostly a garage queen the last few years. Inspection went out in late 2011, I have since renewed it. Car is ready to be driven anywhere. A/C works fine and blower volume strong. Targa top is very nice and just had it refurbished. I have all tools, jack, compressor, etc. I still have the original bra. Ready for a new home and ready to be enjoyed. Porsche values for air cooled cars are on the rise. This is a fine example and should do nothing but appreciate. It is very difficult to find an original, well documented, up to date serviced air cooled 911. Priced to sell given it's condition, history and receipts. Compare to any. The attention and thumbs up this gets on the street is incredible. A very desirable piece of Porsche history.
