Vehicle Detail
1964 Rambler Classic 770 Factor air, V8 two door with only 63K Miles! Extremely rare This is an extremely rare rambler. I've looked all over the internet to find another 2 door V8 for sale and only found a couple that were outrageously priced.. There are lots of 4 door and straight six models but no two doors with the 287. You probably won’t ever see another one of these on the road in your lifetime and this one has a very low reserve The body is straight except for a couple small dents and doesn't appear to have any rust issues. The instrument cluster and all the chrome in the interior looks great. The headliner is nice and the seats have good spring. It runs good, shifts firm, doesn't smoke and has good power. All the glass is good and not cracked or chipped. It has new tires ($500) and a new front windshield ($500). This is a good solid car that just needs a little work to be a very nice restoration. It’s 99% original as it sits. This is a running, driving original car. Don’t miss your opportunity to get this extremely rare piece of history. I have a clean and clear Idaho title in hand. The original female owner owned if for 40 years as a grocery getter. The seats need to be recovered since they are the original 50 year old fabric. There is a shallow dent in the passenger side front fender front corner (see picture) that’s about 4” long and there are a few small dings around the car and trim. There’s a small shallow dent in the upper middle area of the rear bumper. Other than that the body seems to be very straight, solid and original. The original carburetor and air filter has been replaced with a Holly carb and K&N air filter. It’s missing the original head rests, AC compressor, and front carpet. The brake booster is missing but the brakes work good without it. The paint is faded and pealing in a couple areas around the edges. It leaks a little bit of oil but it appears to be coming from the top of the motor. Remember, you’re buying a 50 year old original car as-is. I believe this car is in really great shape for a preserved original. I have driven the car around town a few times and will gladly answer any questions you have based on my limited experience. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of end of auction. Shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Cashiers check accepted after my bank calls your bank. Wire transfer preferred.
