UP TO 2 WEEKS OF STORAGE SINCE ITS THE HOLIDAYS.OK..There is no floor covering in the cab - cracked windshield directly in center that is not in front of driver - no tailpipe - wear/hole on driver side of seat - finicky fuel gauge, hit a bump tops out, hit another bump it returns to the fuel level - small rust through on bottom of cab corner not bad enough to remove the original, just a patch - driver fender dented - some molding missing - tires show age - grill broke - passenger door touched up YEARS ago, not from rust and no signs of dents - dash cracked. This was my daily driver until salt hit the road. IN THE GARAGE IT WENT! 305 4 speed with a 208 transfer case and 3:73 gears. Typical cold natured emissions carb, once up to operating temp it runs perfect. Drives and stops STRAIGHT. Tire tread is deep, good for the winter. After owning dozens of these GM's I am convinced this truck is very original. The body is in very good condition, pictures say more than I could describe. There is no rot that is typical to this body style and hardly a dent it the bed! Not even the tailgate hinges are rusty. It was actually nice to NOT make a project of it. Just the untouched/western look (tired of patina) made it cool to drive all summer. Everywhere I went the response was the same, THAT IS NICE! Other than hosing it off you will notice I didn't clean it, still has its Idaho dust! Its hard to find them with the door buzzer, plate light, backup lights and the 4wd indicator lights all still working. This truck is unmolested! You can tell it had an adult owner when all the factory seam sealer is not even cracked, that usually happens to older trucks that get twisted off road. I did not ARMORALL under the hood either, its just plain CLEAN! The only thing I have not done is change all the fluids. With 80k miles it should be soon. I added MONROE COIL OVER SHOCKS in all corners (1" of lift). Replaced the master cylinder and the slave cylinder for the clutch. I also oiled in all the right places in case it gets driven in the winter. Surely you could find little things it needs but it is to nice to nit pick it apart. It is a clean slate for an easy low budget factory restoration, daily driver OR for all you youngsters, stacks, black wheels with 33's and a deck plate tool box with whips and lights, YOU CHOOSE! Oh, the weekend before I put it away we took a 245 mile round trip with a bed full of gear, pulling a trailer loaded with the Gator and Kodiak. No problems.
