This Jeep's only issue is cosmetic. Body and Frame The body rust has been repaired with aluminum patches. All the hard work has been done repairing the frame. Frame repairs include plates welded on at steering box, in front of rear axle, at 1 rear shackle, and a new cross member in front of the gas tank. There is some surface rust near the skid plate. The aftermarket front bumper is BRAND NEW. The soft top was replaced with a new one a few years ago. All zippers except the passenger window (stuck closed) work fine. Drivetrain: The engine runs great. The transmission was replaced a few years ago with a BRAND NEW (not rebuilt AX15). At a dead stop 1st and Rev can be a little tricky to get into. Otherwise everything including 4x4 hi/lo work as they should. DANA 30/35 4:10 differentials. Tires: The spare doesn't hold air and the other 4 tires are BALD. Interior: The driver's seat is badly torn. The other two are in good shape. The AM/FM/CD works fine and the sound bar speakers work but, need replaced. There are aftermarket speakers in the back. The intermittent wiper controller failed and was removed. The wipers work on HI/LO but not intermittent. The speedometer light goes on/off at night (mostly off). The heat works but, like all jeeps of this age, not well. This is a great little Jeep for the price. I'd jump in it and drive cross country right now.
