Vehicle Detail

This 55 Nomad was just acquired from the estate of a gentleman who owned this car since the early seventies, yes over 40 years with one person. As you see it here it is exactly as it was built and finished around 1975. Perfectly maintained and always good storage, this car still looks great and runs and drives excellent. We just completed a major service to make this car safe and reliable, now ready to cruise. The long term owner purchased the car in Atlanta Georgia as a complete, solid but tired used car and built it just as you see it here, 327-350HP 1969 motor, Muncie 4 speed with Hurst shifter, Chevelle front disc brakes, power steering, bolted-in Jaguar independent rear end with inboard disc brakes and totally rebuilt front suspension. The rear end was installed as a total bolt-in assembly with no frame modifications and easily switched back if desired. Motor was rebuilt to stock specs and runs absolutely perfect, fast, smooth, no leaks and reliable. The interior is a high quality complete custom Black Naugahyde that looks like new including chrome trim. All gauges and lamps work. A nice in dash AM-FM stereo radio functions properly. Original steering wheel is near mint. Exterior paint is acrylic lacquer done back in the 1975 and looks amazingly still very good. Please note in our photos some small paint/body blisters, not severe in the following areas: R&L quarters just ahead of wheel, roof over R&L drip rail and very minor R&L forward quarter glass. That's it!! A super solid body with all original floors and body mounts have never repaired. Fenders, doors and tailgate are rock solid and liftgate is very nice. Body fit of all panels is absolutely excellent. Exterior chrome was redone show quality in 1975. Most is still very nice but a couple bumper sections have some spots starting to fail, overall quite minor. Window glass and seals are excellent. The visor is a correct 55 accessory unit, very rare indeed. Front and rear bumpers have complete accessory guards and overriders that were N.O.S. at time of restoration. The car is riding on 4 nearly new 225-70 R-15 radials mounted on a set of mint condition American Racing Torque-Thrust wheels. Exhaust headers feed into a complete dual exhaust system with correct exiting tailpipes, all in super condition. This car runs and drives excellent with no mechanical issues whatsoever. The car was built to be driven and was used over the years thru the Summer months, always stored in the Winters. Our recent very thorough service should make this outstanding Nomad ready to cruise just as you see it here. Please call on us with any questions or email mike.cizmek@gmail.com to assist in your decision to purchase. Mileage reads 15,323 but true mileage is unknown.
