Vehicle Detail

"Appears to be original Fuel injected car". This 63 Corvette split window coupe was just removed from storage of over 20 years. The car is complete and we just completed enough service to make it running and driveable. We understand the car was cosmetically restored in the late 80's and then driven very little before being stored away in 1992. Older presentable paint is now Ermine White but original color was Sebring Silver code 941 with Red interior code 490 and surely one of the most stunning color combination 1963 Corvettes you could ever find. Interior is very good appearing to have been redone at time of restoration. Very correct inside except for wrong console trim and a 64 glove box door. The frame is in excellent condition, absolutely no rust whatsoever. There is a rear end "clunk" when driving car likely a worn pinion shubbler. Motor is a 300HP 327 of 1968 vintage. Runs very well and we are told it was rebuilt when restoration was done. 4 speed transmission seems to be excellent, shifts nicely thru original shifter and clutch operates as it should. Brakes are up and operating. Gauges and lights operate except for non-working tachometer. Hidden headlamps work but are slow to operate and should be dismantled and lubricated. Tires are very old and hard bias plys and knock off wheels are good condition but spinners and cones have failing chrome plating. There is no spare tire or wheel. Exterior trim is fair, bumpers have poor chrome plating in some areas but are rock solid. License plate surround and grill surround molding are missing. Investigating this car seems to indicate that it was originally a fuel-injected car but we have no documentation to support our findings. Core support has F.I. air cleaner opening. Tachometer is the hi-horsepower Buzzer tach only used on Fuelies. Both front fenders have molded in holes that line up to fuel injection emblems. In the glove box were the two old original 63 fuel injection emblems. So what we have here is a decent driver quality split window coupe that could be made a little nicer with minimal work OR a potential Sebring Silver with red interior Fuelie Coupe restoration candidate that would be incredible. Either way we have priced this car to sell at a very fair value as 63 Corvette split window coupes are becoming increasingly hard to find at anything but a very high price. Please call on us for any more information. Odometer reads 56,287 but true mileage is unknown. Additional pictures requests can be email to mike.cizmek@gmail.com Good Luck if you decide to bid!!On Nov-25-13 at 09:33:17 PST, seller added the following information:We were concerned to properly disclose the rear end clunk so we did in fact confirm it was the pinion snubber and it has been replaced to correct the problem.
