This may be the finest original 1972 Gremlin X left in existence.  The car has only 13,200 original miles and is in outstanding original and unrestored condition.  I have attached many photos to this listing so that you can see the car's condition in good detail. The car is really a time capsule. It still has its original plug wires, hoses, belts, and I have all four original Goodyear Polyglas raised white letter tires which came off the car about a year and a half ago (see photos).  The interior can hardly be told from a new car.  No wear on the seats, dash, steering wheel, no wear showing anyplace inside.  The chrome is excellent.  The paint is all original with what looks like the exception of the passenger's door, it appears to have been repainted a long time ago and there are a couple of dings on the passenger's fender and rear quarter. The stripes all around the car are like new.  Underneath is nice and clean and no signs anywhere of any rust at all, ever. The wheels are in super shape, all is clean and bright.  Glass is excellent, still has a 1974 Ohio inspection sticker on the windshield.  The original "inflatable" space saver spare tire is in the rear compartment. Someone along the way has painted the engine valve cover. The car was old new at Ramme's AMC in Delaware, Ohio.  The dealer's sticker is in place on the rear panel, the original owner's manual is present and even the plastic covers that go over the sun visors with the starting instructions and the dealer's checklist making sure the car is in satisfactory shape to deliver are still there.  Its really amazing.  The car runs and drives like new, period.  You will see in the photos an oil change sticker from 1979 showing 7450 miles. I have receipts from two prior owners showing that in 1990, a new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake linings and drum resurfacing were all done.  In February, 2012 a set of new reproduction Wide Oval tires were installed, the cooling system and brakes were flushed at 12,622 miles.  I bought the car very shortly after the tires were installed by the original owner.  I have put approximately 450 miles on the car including one 250 mile trip and the car ran and drove great.  The title shows actual miles of 12,866 when I bought it.  Has about 13,250 now. Do not purchase this car if you do not like getting attention.  I have lots of old cars, but none of them invoke a reaction from people that a Gremlin does.  People smile, some laugh, but everyone I run into, loves it and thinks its so ugly that its cool.   The Gremlin "X" package included the larger 4.2 litre 6 cylinder engine (258 c.i.d), striping, bucket seats, roof rack and sport wheels.  Today they are extremely rare.  The car is equipped with the Torque Command automatic transmission, pushbutton AM radio and heater.  Does not have power steering nor power brakes, but a light little car like this is pretty easy to drive without them Put simply, it is very hard to find original and preserved low mileage cars like this I am a long time car collector and am happy to answer any questions you may have.  Please call 201-406-4423.  Please notice my 100% positive feedback on Ebay for over ten years, so bid with confidence.
