Vehicle Detail
2000 Daewoo Leganza odometer: 118107 automatic transmission For sale: 2000 Daewoo Leganza SE This is 100% accurate and honest description so you know what to expect and what you're buying. Great car, tons of money put into it recently, needs a section of the fuel line replaced ($300-400 repair approximately) but I don't need the car anymore and can't afford to fix it. You are buying it AS-IS since I have not had the fuel leak repaired and it is a known problem. The AutoCheck history shows 3 owners for the car - but this has been in my family since new. It was purchased by my father, then titled to his girlfriend since her son was driving the car while at college, and then she titled the car to me when I began using it as a winter car when I put my Challenger in storage for the winters of 2011, 2012, and 2013. Equipment: Auto, 4 cylinder engine, power windows, power locks, remote start, Alpine CD player w/ aux input (installed at ABC Warehouse 6/26/2011 $134.93) Condition: Car was repainted about 4 years ago at Maaco w/ their cheap package. Paint is faded. No rust on the car at all. Headlights were restored to remove haze and look great. No dents or dings on the car. Driverside fender was replaced in April 2013 after being hit in the parking lot at my apartment complex from a car sliding on ice in the Winter. I replaced the fender because I was planning on getting the car painted and keeping it long-term. The car is a light blue color, the replaced fender is dark blue, and the passenger side mirror is tan (was replaced after being clipped by a snowplow). Dash is peeled up where the sun warped the vent and cracked. The passenger side sun visor does not stay up. Service History: I have service records for ALL of the work I will describe. $4624.75 spent on service within the past 3 years and 17,000 miles. New rear brake lines - 45 miles ago - $436.50 Oil Change - 181 miles ago Timing Belt, Water Pump. front left wheel bearing replaced - 1060 miles ago - $489.00 Valve cover gasket and spark plugs replaced - 1189 miles ago - $225.88 Battery replaced - 1/6/2011 - $103.53 Muffler and exhaust pipes replaced - 6/1/2011 - $235.00 Master window switch replaced - 6624 miles ago - $247.10 Starter replaced - 12,486 miles ago - $352.48 Front pads and rotors replaced - 6/6/2012 - part cost $101.73 Engine rebuilt - 16,951 miles ago - $2433.53 New headlights installed in the past 200 miles. I have a dash mat to fix the peeling dash, and a new fuel filter for the car that I hadn't had installed yet. I have the pre-cut tint for all the windows if you'd like it as well. And new emblems and badges for the outside of the car that I was going to replace after getting the car painted (sold my Summer car before I got around to painting the Leganza). History: Car has never been in an accident and was purchased brand new by my father. I have used the car as a winter vehicle the past 3 years since my main car was a Dodge Challenger that I did not drive in the Winter. I traded in my Challenger three weeks ago and no longer need a "winter car." The car has been sitting most of the Summer and Fall. There is a very minor leak/drip from the transmission (my mechanic said the gasket between the two sides of the transmission is worn and could be replaced to prevent any fluid leaking, but I put in a 1/4 bottle of fluid once or twice a year). I started the car a couple weeks ago and noticed a fluid leak under the car and a gas smell in the car. There is gas leaking from the underside of the car toward the rear of the engine. It drips about 5 or 6 drops every few seconds once the cars been running for about 10 minutes. It appears to be the gas line has worn through and needs that section of the fuel line replaced (I'm not a mechanic at all so getting it checked out professional would be a good idea because it will need to be fixed relatively soon after buying - don't want to be driving it will a leak). The same thing happened to the rear brake lines - they were 14 years old and wore through so the brake fluid was leaking whenever I hit the rear brakes. It was a couple/few hundred dollar repair and the lines are brand new and should last years - probably the same thing needed for the fuel line. I don't have the cash to put into this car after doing the brake lines 45 miles ago for $436.50, so I am selling for much less than I would otherwise knowing you will need to put a little money into the fuel line. Other than that issue, this car has over $4000 in documented service records within the past 17000 miles and should run strong for a long time. New brakes, battery, engine, starter, timing belt, fuel pump, brake lines - that's a lot of major repairs that have all been done and won't need replacing for another 40-100k. I've seen these with more miles and blown engines sell for $600-800 on craigslist and eBay recently and they need $1500+ worth of engine work.
