Hello: I purchased this Short Step Side Bed pickup from an older friend of mine. He purchased it a long time ago and doesn't have any history on it prior to his buying it. He said he had the engine rebuilt.I think this pickup is a good candidate for restoration if you want show or good as is for driving and enjoying. It sounds very good and runs good, but will probably need some fine tuning. He drove the pickup around some for several years, then stored it. Not sure how original it is. Not sure if it was originally a step side.? It has some usual blisters and rust in the usual spots. It also has some dents along the right rear fender and a dent on the cab just behind the right door handle. Check pictures close. I cleaned it up some and drove it around the ranch some and it seems to run and drive very good. Gears seem to be nice and quiet. It has a four barrel carburetor and duel exhaust. The tires show some checking but still have a lot of tread and should be road worthy.When I purchased it it was on non op.I transferred it to my name and non op. it but didn't license it. I have new pink slip.The previous owner told me that when he used to drive it it drove down the highway real nice. He didn't drive it a lot, so the engine shouldn't have a lot of miles on it.
