Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This was a barn find. It had been sitting in a garage since 1993. We rebuilt the engine and brakes, and repaired/replaced a few other things on it to make it drivable. It runs and drives very well. It has the typical dents and dings of a beater daily driver. It does not look like it has been in any major collisions, but previous owners apparently had issues with depth perception in parking lots. It needs someone to give it a complete restoration. The top works well since we replaced the cylinders and hoses. The interior is all original, but there is a split in the driver’s side of the front seat. The rear seat looks good, but the vinyl has hardened over the years, as is typical for 50 year-old cars. The door panels need to be replaced, as does the carpet. The dash pad is in great shape. Glove box door is missing. Some sheet metal needs to be replaced. The floor pans are rusty around the perimeter, and one of the seat belt anchors (P/S front) pulled through the floor. It needs lower quarter patch panels on both sides, as well as trunk box braces. The lower trunk pan (the one seen from below) shows a line of rust, but the interior trunk pan looks rusty but fairly solid. Passenger side door glass does not roll up or down, it needs a new lower glass channel – the part that runs along the lower edge of the glass and bolts to the regulator. It has 3 SS hubcaps on it now, I think they are from a '63, but the original non-SS hubcaps are in the trunk.
