This isn't some turd a small time Nebraska car dealer took in on trade and let sit in some field for 40 years, this is a garage kept 1960 Chevrolet Bel-Air with only two previous owners and 88,111 original miles. That equates to 1,660 miles a year! The gentlemen we purchased the car from owned it for the last 15 years, and when he purchased it in 1998 the odometer read 77,000. That equates to 667 average miles a year in his 15 year possession.... My point is... if you are looking for an unmolested, original well preserved un-restored survivor you would be hard pressed to find one as clean as this Post Sedan.... originally from southern Missouri (90 miles north of Memphis,TN.) Fantastic sheet metal with excellent floors, floor supports, body mounts and trunk pan. The trunk still wears the original mat and side panels as well as the original jack instructions label on the inner deck lid. Look at the pic of the floor pan where we wiper the road dirt off, its still wears the factory red oxide primer, you never see them like this. The original 235 cu.in. 6-cylinder fires off at the click of the switch, does not smoke and runs smooth as silk. It is coupled to a power glide trans that shifts perfect and has 3.31 rear gear. Original red and white paint combo and although it has had a paint refinish well over 20 years ago, the paint still shines very well.... However, there is some paint checking/cracking and imperfections showing but absolutely NO RUST ANYWHERE!!!. The original warranty/owners book from McClain Chevrolet as well as the original keys are included. The interior is in amazing condition for a 53 year automobile with original door panels in excellent condition, original rubber mat/carpet combo in very good condition and original front and rear seat fabric. The drivers side front seat has some fabric separation starting. The dash is unmolested and never cut on .....It is factory radio delete....All gauges, wipers, horn, turn signals, heater/defroster operate properly. All glass is original to car except windshield which was replaced for a tinted one... All windows roll up and down effortlessly. All trim is original to car and is very nice condition for 53 years. It just traveled on a 300 mile trip this past weekend @ 70 MPH and ran like a Swiss watch. The previous old timer that owned the car replaced the following during his ownership: wheel cylinders, master cylinder, brake shoes, radial tires, shock absorbers, exhaust system, radiator, heater core, hoses, belts, A-Arm bushings, front wheel bearings, battery, fuel pump, water pump, rebuilt carb, and replaced windshield with a new tinted one. All merchandise/ advertising memorabilia included.... Unbelievable care and maintenance has been given to this un-restored survivor! If you hate stock cars, no problem, let us swap out the 6 for a v8, add ac, put 4 wheel disc or power steering, look at it as a blank canvas to leave alone or build your dream car. Plenty of Low mileage LS1 and Ls2 engines in stock, let us swap one in for you.
