I purchase this honda civic in August of 2009 with 180k miles. I bought it off of eBay from Boston. I flew to Boston and drove it 25 hours straight back to New Orleans. It gave me absolutely no problems while giving me over 50 mpg uphill 3/4 of the trip. Being that its from the north, it does have a lot of surface rust and fender rust. The front bumper cover also has a crack halfway down. Never bothered finding a new one at Pull-a-part. I purchased it solely for a daily driver since I commute to school and work about 700 miles a week. While its not pretty, it gets the job done and parts are cheap. It has plenty of power for the weight and gets great mpg. Tranny shifts strong with no problems. I recently bought a 2000 honda insight hybrid that gets even better gas mileage so I'm letting this baby go. This is a list of the good and bad about this civic. Replaced Oil pan drain plug, was dripping due to stripped plug bolt. Radiator CV Joints Front Tires 95% tread left Rear Tires 65% tread left Tires least almost 70k miles Needs to be replaced- Windshield has bulls-eye and 2 cracks on drivers side A/C compressor is out. Never bothered to replace it. Rear brakes are probably low, never checked. Rear driver taillight is out. Glass Hatch is missing one strut cap that attaches to glass.
