2000 BMW K1200LT motorcycle, loaded, 55k miles, few cosmetic issues, mechanics good Listing for a riding buddy of mine who is not an Ebayer..... He bought as a light deer strike bike in 2011 (was not a total, not even close) He replaced the upper fairing and just rode it! Will reliably take you to work every day or across the country - legendary for being bulletproof These bikes can often go over 150-200k without a teardown, this one at 55k is just a baby! Clean Illinois title in hand... ____________________________________________________________________ Here are WAY more pics than Ebay will allow me: http://kwc.smugmug.com/Other/BMW-K1200LT/33011809_75xbMW _________________________________________________________ Particulars 2002 BMW K1200LT I believe it is the "Custom" package due to the options and chrome bits Champagne color (silver tan) 55,204 miles (may creep up a little) 1200cc, fuel injected, 4 cylinder, 5-speed with reverse assist Brembo disk brakes, dual-disk on front, single on rear all electrics and controls work as they should electrically adjustable windshield with oversize Slipstreamer shield (slight tint) electronic cruise control (like a car), trip computer heated seats (rider and passenger) and heated hand grips AM/FM stereo with working single CD player (no changer) in place of the changer in the right bag is a wiring harness and box to hook up an MP3 player or Ipod rear radio controls for the passenger and radio controls on handlebars for driver rider and passenger Powerlet ports Aeroflow headlight protector included is Garmin Streetpilot c300 automotive GPS and a RAM mount for the clutch reservoir cover GPS is not waterproof, a "fairweather" GPS unless you get a cover, not hardwired, plugs into Powerlet no tool kit or manuals, has one key bike starts and runs great, smooth gearbox and braking Service new battery in 2011, always on tender fluids changed 2k and 2 years ago, could used a change soon could use a coolant / brake fluid flush soon as well (mechanic says brake fluid flush may help ABS issue) rear tire only 2000 miles on it, front about half wear at 4000 miles Cosmetics / Mechanical ABS pump motor fault was indicated by a hookup at dealer, I had it reset and hasn't come back on (it may)about 60 miles of driving and many ignition stops and starts and ABS initializing normally good used pumps / controllers are popping up on Ebay at $250-$350 and it is only 2 hrs to replace if it goes bad even if the ABS light comes back on, the brakes work perfectly well weep in right fork seal, can probably wait to fix as on a telelever front end the forks are guides, not shocks bike hit a small deer at slow speed in 2010, fell on the left side and slid a bit (has also been over on the right at some point) upper fairing panel replaced with a silver one, doesn't look too odd surprisingly right mid fairing has a few cracks at the front edge, right chrome piece above tipover bumper has two small cracks the mirrors were a bit bedraggled so I replaced with decent aftermarket replica onessome rash on both left and right lower fairings and rub guards, isn't obvious when bike upright slight bodywork rattle at idle due to a missing tab on right lower, foam strip will fix if it bothers you bike has some other scratches and chips, rubs as seen in photos - consistent with the age and mileage if I was buying this bike I'd watch Ebay for the panels to make it perfect (they are reasonably priced usually)in the meantime.....just ride and enjoy!Sale details $500 deposit due through Paypal within 48 hours of auction end this deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE if you do not follow through on the sale for your own reasons also....the ENTIRE COST of the bike cannot be paid through Paypal, just the deposit full payment due at pickup within 10 days of auction end if possible; if not possible, email me to notify I CAN ship this motorcycle or possibly deliver, email for details can also perhaps arrange a fly and ride!
