For sale is a very solid 1950 Pontiac Silver Streak. This car is all original. It has an inline straight 8 cylinder engine, original automatic transmission, original 6v system, new 6V battery, and new glass in the driver's window. It has an original sun-visor, deluxe under-seat heater, as well as the original traffic light viewer. I believe the interior to be the original, and in good shape. The car runs, drives, and shifts great. But, it needs a complete brake job to be roadworthy. Some new brake parts are included with the car, as well as a factory radio, grill bug screen, trim pieces, and a few other odds and ends. All of these things are in the trunk of the car, and are included in the auction. Both of the original keys are also included with the car. Most of the lights work (with the exception of the brake lights, because it needs brakes), as well as the wipers, and heater fan. The wiring is the original cloth covered variety, and is in fair condition for it's age. The brushed on brown/grey primer was done by the previous owner, and has served very well to stop the rust. There is a hole in each front floor pan, as shown in the photos. Due to the rust colored primer and the sunlight, this car does not photograph all that well. I have worked in the classic car restoration business for 25 years, and this is an excellent starting point for that budget minded, driver, restoration, hot rod, rat rod, lowrider, or kustom. It starts right up, and runs like a sewing machine. It shifts through all of the gears, and runs out smoothly. However, this is a 63 year old car, and will need some attention, to be a daily driver. It has dents, scratches, and imperfections all over it. It is not a rust bucket, and will make a very nice car for the new owner. I purchased the car from a collector, for a family member to use as a daily driver. That family member chose a different model classic to drive, and cannot keep this one, too. It will need brakes, some maintenance, and sprucing up, but I still believe it was an excellent choice. If I had the space for another classic in my garage, I would keep this one in a heartbeat. The Silver Streak is a very classy automobile. You see a lot of Chevy cars of this era at the car shows, but not a lot of Pontiac's. Stand out from the crowd in this one.
