This beetle is in good condition .This car was originally going to be a daily driver back when gas prices were around $4.00 per gallon., but I decided a motorcycle would suit my needs better. It was purchased in California ,shipped to Alabama and has sat in my garage ever since. I need the garage space ! The car has a burgular alarm system.It has remote keyless entry . It has empi wheels. It has been customized in the rear with the newer oval ,flat taillights. I have receipts that can accompany the sale of the car amounting to over $9,000.00 from the previous owner.The previous owner sold the car to me stating that the transmission was new and the motor had less than 30,000 miles. I dont have any way to verify this information. Im not a bug man, but a friend who is has checked out the car for me and says that everything in the rear is tight .In his words"theres not the usual play that is common in cars this old." I know that the car will crank right up ,and that it runs and drives well . I did notice a very slight oil leak underneath the car where it had wintered in my garage. The horn doesnt work. It might be a fuse. I havent checked. All else works. The paint is in very good condition. There are a couple of paint flicks around headlight bezels. Most is covered by the bezels.Both headlight bezels will come with vehicle. In the picture the right bezel is missing.There isno rust except for a bubble underneath rear left passenger window about the size of a pencil eraser {see pictures}. The black rubber bumper stops are missing. The interior is original .It is o.k. for a daily driver, but would probably need some work to make this a show car. The rear seat is in good shape Passenger front is good also. The driver seat is torn .Headliner is faded,but intact. All in all ,this is a good solid car. It would make a good driver car,or, with a little interior work it would be a beautiful show car!
