Here's a great winter restoration project for someone who would like a Chevy whose body style isn't seen every day. Car recently appraised for over $3000 because of rarity of body and its intactness. I'm gonna take a more economical tack in pricing this no reserve auction, though.Fenders rough, but comes with 3 front and 1 rear fender; 2 used, 2 NOS. Frame is bad, but comes with a good frame. Also, as an added bonus, the car contains basically the entire running gear of another car! I had stripped down a '51 for the frame, and all of those parts are inside. You could basically start on the frame and build it up without disassembling the car until you needed the body!Car seems complete, and includes even the fender skirts. I had the engine running in the late 80s briefly. The wheel cylinders were rebuilt so it would roll, but now the wheels are snug again. They may break free if you give it a tug. The rest of the body looks good and straight - no dings or dents in the roof. Rear door is rust free and still works nicely with its spring assist. One window is cracked, but I think there's a replacement inside. Stainless trim is in great shape. Includes a coveted sun visor and even a Chevrolet under-dash tissue paper dispenser.Car is located in Altoona, PA, where you'll be picking it up. Sorry.I haven't looked specifically at the firewall for rust. I know for sure that the rockers as shown are shot, as are the front fenders. Thankfully, the back door is solid; I don't know where one might find one of them. As noted, car comes with additional fenders and a good frame.
