Vehicle Detail

BRIEF DISCRIPTION: For your consideration I have a nice 1930 Ford Model A Sport, sweet running flathead 4 cylinder engine, good 3 speed manual transmission, good brakes for mechanical type, lights work, gauges work, horn not working, interior looks good other than the bottom of the drivers seat, paint looks good, but has a few blemishes due to age (no dent or dings, just some chips and paint checking on the trunk and a little around the drivers door handle, glass is clear, windows roll up and down good, chrome is nice, top is not new, but good, running board rubber good, the rumble seat is in good condition and the trunk lid opens good, 4 new Firestone tires on the ground, underside looks solid to me, but is not detailed for show. This is a good looking Model A, it starts good, it runs sweet, things work, the body looks solid, "it is no 100 point show car to roll out of the trailer at the show, its a driver, it has some touched up chips and some very minor spider webbing in the paint, its just a very nice drive and enjoy quality car". Its not a new car, its not priced like a perfect car! VIN/vehicle identification number: MVIN26453MILEAGE READING ON THE CAR: 3492 reading today and who really knows.TITLE: Clear Ohio title in hand.HISTORY: I cannot document anything about the history, only that the old man that owned the car passed away and his family sold it. It had not run for a while so I cleaned the fuel system, put a new battery on, cleaned the points and it started right up and runs very good. YOU WILL SEE A 1928 ROADSTER IN THE BACKROUND, IT IS FOR SALE. YOU WILL SEE A PITUTE OF A BLUE 1930 COUPE, IT WILL BE PUT ON (EBAY MOTORS) MONDAY. ................................................................................................................................................................................ The following information is long and boring unless you want to buy the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 67 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 42. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 43 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! I NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm 67 years old and work 6 days a weed, I need a day to worship, spend time with family and rest my body and mind. I do answer my emails 2 or 3 times, I usually don't answer my cell phone. Life is more than just old cars! DO I HAVE TO BUY THROUGH EBAY MOTORS? No, I not crazy I want to sell my car, " I will sell direct". I know a lot of you guys just use ebay as a research tool and do not like the internet or have pay pal account. Come look and judge the car for your self! PICTURES::: Be very careful about judging from just pictures, please read my description and imagine. This is a good looking car, its just nice driver quality, its no roll out of the trailer show queen. My car and everybody else's cars look cleaner and more perfect in pictures. You can't see the things I will tell you about. Be careful, things melt together in pictures. This is a nice car, its just not a perfect 100 point restoration, it is very nice for the price. THIS IS NOT A CONVERTIBLE!!!!!!!!!! Its Sports Coupe, they had the soft top just to make them look cool. The soft top is in good used condition!!! The car does have the basic heater option. The body is all steel and in solid condition, the fenders are fiberglass (you can't tell by looking on top). IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a 67 year old retired mechanic/classic car restorer/auto mechanics intructor, when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: The paint would be considered nice driver quality. It shines good, no dents or dings, no peeling, but under a critical eye inspection you will find some touched up chips, some very spider webbing on the trunk lid, no rust bubbles or big swelled places. The paint is plenty good for me, it just not a new/perfect car. CHROME AND BRIGHTWORK: I consider the chrome and stainless steel good. The radiator grill shell is nice, the door handle OK, the bumpers very good. INTERIOR: No bad smells, no real wear other than the bottom seat buttons off and wear around them. GLASS: Good clear glass, the windows roll up and down decent, the windshield moves, its a little hard to put back in place, you have to push the corners in before locking. ENGINE: The engine is a sweet running 4 cylinder flathead, it runs strong for a Model A. It starts good, it leaves very little oil on the floor, Model A Fords had no back rear main oil seal. This one is as good as I have had. EXHAUST SYSTEM: The exhaust is in good used condition. TRANSMISSION: 3 speed manual transmission, it shift good to me, these transmissions were not synconized so you have to give them time shifting, I double clutch most of the time. Its a good transmission! The clutch does not slip, it hold good. REAR-END: Its good with no whines or growls other than normal Model A sounds. BRAKES: Good for mechanical brakes, parking brake not working. STEERING: Good, the car drives good to me. WHEELS AND TIRES: 4 new Firestone tires and the spare is good. LIGHTS: They work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work. GUAGES: They work, the gas gauge and speedometer work. HOW IS THE TOP AND RUNNING BOARD RUBBER? They are nice with no holes or cracking. HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think they open and close good for a Model A. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car, this can be by PayPal, but I will not take full payment by PayPal. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest and fastest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! TRADES: Please no trades! BOTTOM LINE: My real price is $14,999, I'm asking more on the local market. The game is not rocket science, ask a price on the local markety and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
