Vehicle Detail

1959 Impala 2dr hardtop with 348 V8 and automatic transmission. This car was owned by my grandparents and was their daily driver until around early 80's. Mostly driven around their small town and on the occasional family road trip. I believe the mileage is 115,900 but I have no way of verifying this. The car has rust typical of a mid-west car of that era. Floor and trunk appear to be solid. This is a true survivor car. Nothing is missing, it is all original with the exception of the starter, battery, cap/rotor and plug wires I installed recently. I have hand turned the engine, inspected the plugs which showed no signs of unusual happenings in the cylinders, lubed the cylinders through the plug ports and bumped the starter. I have not had the car running so I can not tell you what it needs mechanically. I would expect that a full rebuild is in order for both the engine and tranny as well as complete flushing of all the systems. The true value of this car is it's completeness and known history. Other than the minor rust you can't ask for a much better starter candidate for your restoration project. NOTE: Trailer is not part of the sale.
