Vehicle Detail
I have owned this car for 7 years and am the second owner. I purchased her from the original owner, a neighbor friend of mine who lives 5 houses down from me when it had only 5K miles. Car now has 22.5K miles, so I have only driven it about 2.5K per year since I bought it. Car has been garage stored its entire life, under a cover on a trickle charger during the winter. She is beatiful and gets head turns and compliments daily. If you are looking at it, chances are you know what it is and understand the details about this rare collectors car. This car is why the GT500 exists. It proved you can build a special production vehicle with bullet proof parts with the result being mass production like reliability. Everything about it is unique and sets it apart from the rest of the mustangs of this era. Its unique paint, unique handbuilt engine, unique suspension, and overall legendary performance status have made it highly desireable. They called this car the Terminator at Ford during its development stage, a name I carried through to this vehicle as it is now imprinted on the front air-to-water interchanger and reflective sill stickers. This car has had no track time what so ever, but it is pretty darn fast. I would guess high 11 second quarter mile, which is about what similarly modded cars run. But she is still docile on the street and is capable of over 20 mpg if you baby it. She has been adult owned (Im 40+ now) and cared for in every way. Frequent Mobil 1 oil changes. Car is a pleasure to drive, and she sounds great too. Below is a list of performance and appearance related modifications done to the car, which cost about $6K in total: K&N FIPK Cold Air Intake LFP Dual Pass Intercooler heat exchanger Killer Chiller Intercooler chiller Billetflow 2.76 Pulley Billetflow 100mm Snub idler Billetflow 3 piece add on Idler pulleys Gatorback 75 inch belt SCT Xcal 2 Amazon Tune (2.93 and 2.76 exhaust tunes) TR6 Plugs Magnaflow Catback Magnaflow Catted X pipe Replica 10.5" wheels rear (stock wheels included) Nitto Drag Radials (new) Nitto 555R front tires (newer) Maximum Motorsports full length Subframes Maximum Motorsports Strut Tower 4 pt brace BilletFlow IRS Diff Brace Coupe Springs (Rear) Carbon Fiber Dash Kit (NO glue used - removable) MRT Hood struts Shock Tower Caps - Ford Mystichrome touchup paint UPR Billet interior items UPR Billet Door Handles UPR Stainless Bumper inserts UPR engraved Door sills AutoBadges Billet Door panels Supercharged emblems- hood "Terminator" Stickers Brand new Battery With a few exceptions (chassis stiffening items intended to add longevity to the otherwise floppy convertible), every mod is completely reversible and designed so it can be put back to stock. In most cases, I have the original equipment, and it is included with the sale. This includes original rear rims, supercharger belt cover, original pulley, original belt, original air cleaner assemply, original exhaust (if you want it, this would require separate shipping cost due to size, to be discussed), interior switches and other snap on items I replaced with billet. No adhesives or permanent application techniques were used when dressing up the interior of this vehicle. I am leaving as is for sale, rather than taking off and selling the parts separately, since I think the bolt on customizations I chose make the vehicle look better and more unique. Must see in person to fully appreciate. See list of noted imperfections in condition description above. This is a low mileage driver, not a total garage queen, so it is a 9.5/10 car as maintained. I would say it looks and feels like a 2 year old car. Seeing and driving the car in person resolves any doubt. I ordered a brand new car and this one is either being sold here, or traded in at Ford. They offered me 20K for her, plus I get the 7% tax savings, which equates to 21,400. Add in a few hundred bucks for EBAY selling fees and the extra pair of rims/tires i am including, and my break even is about 22K. I would rather this car get sold to a fellow enthusiast then get wholesaled by the dealer. My auction starting price is set at 22K, the same equivalent value of my trade. I am hoping I can do a few grand better, based on the prices this exact vehicle has been commanding latley. But you guys decide. Auction away! Thanks for looking, and I truly hope someone buys this car here and fully enjoys it as much as I have. She will be missed as I will probably never own a car this powerful again.
