DISCRIPTION IN A NUT SHELL::::::::::::: For your consideration I'm selling a good looking 1968 Mustang coupe. The body is solid, the red paint is very nice with no dent or dings, the black interior is not new, but very good, the vinyl top is like new, the bumpers are old and need replaced, the wheels are late model Bullet wheels by Ford and off a Mustang (they look good, but don't drive as good as stock size), the gauges work, the 302 engine runs good, the C4 automatic transmission shifts good, the 8 inch rear-end has no whines or growls, the car is power steering and dual exhaust. BEST THINGS ABOUT THE CAR: It is a good body, it runs good, the paint is very good, the interior is good. WORST THINGS ABOUT THE CAR: The bumpers are not perfect, the tires are wide and large, the car does not drive as good with them, but they look good. Vehicle Identification Number: 8F01C165216Mileage reading on the car today: 31969 reading today, it probably has another 100,000, but you can't tell by looking, things have been replaced and rebuilt.TITLE: Clear Ohio title in hand and the VIN matches the door tag and stamped numbers on the car.HISTORY: Can't tell you a lot, other than: I can't tell you much, we bought it from a friend.DOOR TAG: 65A Y 2A 08 C 47 2 W .......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... LONG DETAILED LISTING BELOW!!!!!!!!!! The following long listing tells you more details about the car, who I am, where the car is, how to pay, how to ship and more.It is boring unless you have interest to buy, if you do you will like all the information I give. WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 67 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 42. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam. I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American. I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 43 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY AND I MAY BE HARD TO GET ON THE TELEPHONE: I go to Church on Sunday, I spend time with my family, I'm 67 years old, I need some rest. I love these old cars, but they are not my life!!!!!!!!!!!! Please call and I will be happy to show cars 6 days a week if I'm home. SORRY I DO NOT DO VIDEOS: I'm 67 years old and have sold every car I have every tried to, so I'm not motivated to do videos. Please just come look and be happy. THANK YOU, BUT NO TRADES!!!!! I have wasted lots of time talking to guys about trades and they are just too hard. Usually the guy wants to trade me a motor cycle or his car that he has way too munch money in. I have no interest at all about trading, my car sell without the hassle. WHAT IS THE LOWEST YOU WILL TAKE FOR THE CAR? I will take $13,999 for the car, please don't waste our time with lower offers. You dealers pay the same, there is still money to be made on the car. WILL YOU SELL THE CAR DIRECT OFF EBAY MOTORS? Yes, I'm not crazy! I know lots of you guys are not registered with PayPal and just use ebay as a research tool. I will sell you direct, I reserve the right to do that. I do not play the auction game and have my buddies bid the vehicles up. I just put a fair price on them and have sold 100%. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? I don't see any rust problems with this car, it looks good top and bottom. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a 67 year old retired mechanic/classic car restorer/auto mechanics intructor, when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: Nice slick paint on a straight body, I see no rust bubbles, no dents, no dings, the paint has a good shine. VINYL TOP IS LIKE NEW WITH NO BUBBLES. CHROME AND BRIGHTWORK: The chrome is very presentable other than the back bumper being dull in places and the front one having big pits, the bumpers need replaced. INTEROR: The upholstery is very nice, no smells and no real wear, the head liner has a little ugly stitching and 2 patched holes under the sum visors. GLASS: Windshield is clear, it has a very faint wiper mark and the side windows roll up and down good. ENGINE: The engine is a good running Ford 302 cubic inch, it starts good, it runs good, it has no rattles, it has no knocks. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Dual exhaust that sounds good. TRANSMISSION: 3 speed automatic, its a Ford C4 and it shifts good. REAR-END: No whines or growls, its a Ford 8 inch with highway gears. BRAKES: Good brakes, they are not power, but stop decent, they are drums all around. STEERING: The car is power steering, the wide and large tire don't help the way it drives at all. WHEELS AND TIRES: late model Ford bullet wheels with decent tires. LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, dome light works. SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS! Wipers work! Horn not working! GAUGES: They work! HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? Good! CAN I DRIVE THE CAR HOME? The car drives good and everything I have checked is in good condition, but I do not recommend driving any old car home. Reason, I test drive them like a garage doing repair work would, I do not take long trips in them, so it worries me when people head out in a old car. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard! CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. HOW TO GET THE CAR SHIPPED? I use a company named Nations Auto Transport, a good contact with them is Jim Page, he is located in the Kansas City area. Jim Page: 816-295-6887 email: jpage@shipnat.com MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40, so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car, this can be by PayPal, but I will not take full payment by PayPal. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake bank certified check. Option 3: The safest and fastest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire transfer. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first! BOTTOM LINE: My price is $10,700, I'm asking more on the local market. I can sell the car for this price, so all you traders please don't waste our time. I'm old and know the car will sell for this price. PLEASE!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle. Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it! Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place. I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY. Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com IS THERE A WARRANTY? No!
