1995 TOYOTA TACOMA TRUCK BACK UP AFTER NON PAYING BIDDER If you are looking for a truck to go anywhere and not thinking about scratches and rust, check this one out. This 1995 Toyota Tacoma 4 x 4, with 201,053 miles needs a owner who like to putz around with this truck or needs parts. Despite the fact that I have a new Tacoma, I have been driving this 1995 Tacoma since 1997 up to and including last night because you just can’t beat the size and reliability of the truck. At this point it needs mechanics like the Fast & Loud guys you see on TV who can completely renovate a vehicle, or it needs a non-nagging wife. She and I have different opinions about the truck. Model 7554A, 4 x 4, V6 Extra cab, 1995, 8 c/c Engine no: 5VZ0034901, Cobalt Blue exterior, Gray interior Tilt Wheel, Cruise (is not working) Tac Tripmeter, Digital Clock (only works once in awhile), 4 wheel demand Power package, Towing hitch, AM/FM/ (works great) CD player (not playing), Sliding rear windows, Air conditioning plus more. I have the complete list of standard equipment from the dealer (like dual cupholders) and would be happy to email it if you are interested. This summer, I was forced by my wife to take the Homesteader Snow plow off the Tacoma. I only plowed our house. When I had the plow taken off, the mechanic accidently disconnected my electric starter.The starter works great and just needs to be rewired. The truck has the controller all wired for the trailer brakes which I never used. I only towed a riding lawn mower on a small trailer. (I repeat) The CD player and cruise control are not working. The clock comes on and off but is always the right time when it comes on. There is a new (last year's) heater fan. I think there is or was a mouse nest above the fan. The air does not come out consistently (hot or cold). It can be cleared and you will be suprised at how hot the heater is and how well the defrosters and air conditioning work. I did put in a new timing chain and water heater at 120,000 miles along with a new starter a few years ago. Probably between 125,00 and 130,000 miles, I put in a new alternator. The rear leaf springs are no more than 2 years old. As visible from the pictures, the gas tank door and fender are rusted and exposed. There is a slight drip from the fill section to the tank if you put the gas fill at full speed. Once you're done pumping gas, there are no leaks from the main tank. This truck starts on the first try, runs fine, drives anywhere. The check engine light is on because the sensor at the converter is out which was really not an issue for me. This truck burns no oil. The transmission is solid. The 4 wheel drive switch was new 2 years ago and works great. It's quick and smooth. The tires have plenty of rubber. The wheels are in nice condition. I can't say this or that is a worry. I start the truck and use it for our large piece of proptery. My wife is the problem (it's a man thing). I have a mecanhic that has kept this running for the almost 17 years I've owned this truck. I have a file of records that I will supply with what's been done over the years. I'm not driving it that much right now so I'm using a 2 amp battery charger, so it might need a new battery for the winter.
