Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 2011 Honda CR-Z EX Hybrid Sports Car You are looking at a very affordable, zippy, fun to drive Hybrid sports car painted in Honda’s “Premium Pearl White” (and Gray interior). This one is incredibly clean at just under 45,000 miles, has brand new tires, new wiper blades, and a recent synthetic oil change. It also comes with a host of standard creature comforts for the EX model, including electric door locks and windows, keyless remote, tilt and telescoping steering wheel (with audio/cruise control buttons), automatic day/night lighting, automatic A/C/Heat temperature control, ABS brakes (and yes, regeneratvie braking), and the factory 7-speaker (sub-woofer equipped!) sound system (comprised of the CD/AM/FM stereo, the Bluetooth interface, MP3 decoder, and a USB port) , in addition to the 12V aux power plug, drink holders, glove box (w/ the Owner’s Manual), it even has storage for your sunglasses! It also seems to have air bags everywhere, but is equipped with a passenger seat sensor to protect the little ones... I am the original owner, and this car was purchased by me new from Grace Honda in San Bruno, CA. It has a clear title (financed through Honda Financial), has no damage history, and is currently registered in the state of Idaho. As it is still owned by Honda, you (or your lender) will be writing two checks... one to Honda Financial for the pay off, and one to me. I will require a $100 deposit within 3 business days of auction end, and the balance due at time of delivery, which should be no later than two weeks after auction end. This vehicle is currently in the San Francisco Bay Area, and can be seen given reasonable notice. Honda has indeed created a sporty hybrid with the CR-Z. It’s 1.5L (122 HP) I4 engine and electric motor produce 123 ft. lbs. of torque to the front wheels through an automatic, electronically controlled, continuously variable transmission (CVT). In addition to the paddle shifters, drivers can select between Normal, Eco, and Sport modes on the fly. Engage “Sport” mode, and you are immediately rewarded with more responsive handling, and much quicker pick-up. Clearly this is no Ferrari, but considering the hybrid powerplant, acceleration is remarkable! The specs state 35 mpg city, 39 hwy; but I have achieved much better while driving reasonably, and the 10.6 gallon gasoline tank makes 350 to 400 mile runs on the interstate between fuel stops entirely possible! In this country, there are only two seats… but overseas, it is considered a 2+2. Consequently, seating is very comfortable, and cargo space is generous at around 25 cu. ft. Car and Driver says: “Somewhat shockingly, this hybrid is entertaining, even as it tries to marry the disparate concepts of sport and efficiency.” Edmunds says: “The end result of all this is that Honda has indeed created a sporty hybrid. The CR-Z looks sharp and is fun to drive around town thanks to its small size and quick steering. There is fun to be had on a curvy road too.” Consumer Guide says: “CR-Z has better than expected acceleration at mid-range and high engine speeds. Passing and merging power are surprisingly good.” Kelley Blue Book says: “Although space is limited to two people and it’s not as powerful as other competitors, the CR-Z’s main draw is its ability to achieve hybrid-car fuel efficiency while delivering sporty driving dynamics.”
