This 1968 Porsche 912 is fully restored and ready to be in a show room or daily driven. It is a documented numbers matching Engine, transmission, chassis and comes with a certificate from Porsche. The car was painted the original factory Polo red, and was stripped completely down to bare metal. Any body issues were dollied out, not filled. The under body has been re-coated with 3M under body treatment. The rear engine grill has, correct center and end support over spray like on the factory assembly line. Details like these make this car stand out from the rest. The car has documentation showing that its been registered in New Mexico for 20 years and 10 in Scottsdale Az. The body had no rust when the paint was stripped off it and the under carriage. Rims on the car are date stamped correct. They have been repolished, painted, detailed and come with new 205/60R15 Michelin tires. The Porsche 1700cc engine and transmission have been fully overhauled and documented with $6000 in just parts. The restoration was completed this year and has less than 150 miles on it. Arizona's premier Porsche tuning company, Competition Engineering broke the engine in and performed the final brake in and tuning. Making this concourse restored engine run smooth and to factory specs. The distributor was replaced with a new more modern unit, but it does come with the original distributor. The wood steering wheel is date correct and restored to factory condition, All electrical items work correctly, horn, wipers, radio, lights and blinkers. The door pockets could use new elastic strips, The headliner is white and in excelent shape with no stains or tears. The interior dash center speaker is new and was a limited option. The factory drivers door panel does have some small cracks and could be freshed up. Floor mats are new old stock and have never been installed.
