1971 Dodge Challenger Award Winning Show Car You are looking at one of the nicest 1971 Dodge Challengers out there. This Mopar project started out with one of the most solid, straightest bodies/ floors out there. Below is a description and list of parts of what this Stunning car has to offer. Exterior Highlights: The exterior of the car is painted its original color of Rallye Red with PPG Basecoat Clearcoat. With 6 coats of color and 4 coats of clear the exterior of this car is absolutely stunning. The hood stripes were painted on as opposed to the less durable decals so they look amazing. All weatherstripping and gaskets were replaced with soffseal. Car has all new headlamp and taillamp wiring harness as well as a new Engine Harness. In most of the photos you will see the Red Steel Wheels with Dog Dish Caps which are currently on the car but there is one photo which shows the 2nd set of wheels which are 18 inch Budnik Mercury Rims with Toyo Proxes T1-S Tires. Both sets of wheels will be included at the “Buy it Now” price however if purchase is made through and offer you will one set of wheels. Interior Highlights: The interior of the car is as nice as the exterior. The interior received a complete makeover including Headliner, dashpad, carpeting, and seat covers all from Legendary Auto Interiors. All electrical under the dash has been replaced. As you will see in one of the photos this car has some very special custom Autometer Cobalt gauges that illuminate Blue. This interior looks and feels like the perfect combination of Original and Modern. Mechanical Highlights: This car is equipped with a 360ci 400hp Mopar Crate Motor with the addition of a Holley 770 cfm Street Avenger Carburetor, and Hooker Super Competition Headers. The Transmission is a 727 with Transgo Programmed Automatic Shift Kit. The Driveshaft was fitted with new U joints and balanced. The Rearend was replaced with a Suregrip 8 ¾ “ with 3:73 Richmond Gears and to keep this monster running cool, March Pulleys were added as well as an Griffin Aluminum Radiator. To achieve the Ultimate Muscle Car sound 40 series Flowmaster Aluminum Custom Dual Exhaust was added. For added convenience if you should decide to take it to the track all you would have to do is uncork the exhaust cutouts and fly.
