Vehicle Detail

This is a 1962 Buick Skylark Convertible for SaleI'm helping the owner - Steve - sell his Sklylark. He is not good with computers. I am good with computers so I put it up for sale for him. Please feel free to make an offer through eBay. We will entertain any serious offers. Once someone makes a good enough offer through eBay, we will accept it and end the auction. Here is what Steve told me about the car: Notes about the Car I bought this car brand new from the show room. I am the original and only owner of this car. It has an Aluminum block V-8 motor with 123k miles. It fires up, idles smooth, and runs great. It has some "get up and go" when you step on the gas. It has a Hurst Shifter, 4 speed "4 on the floor". It shifts smooth. The gas, brake, and clutch pedals are in good condition and still look good. The top works great. The boot is in good condition. The headliner is in good shape. The odometer reads 58,201.It has a new clutch. I have the owners manuals. When I bought the car, I upgraded the wheels and they also let me keep the original set of wheels. I still have both sets of wheels. It is garage kept. The interior seats are in good condition and look nice. The front and rear seats are in good condition. They still are firm and comfortable. The carpet is clean. It has the original radio. The headlights, brake lights, and turn signals all work. The windows go up and down like they should. The wipers work. All the gauges on the dash work. There is some slight wear to the dashboard area noticeable up close. It was repainted 15 yeras ago. The paint overall is in good shape as you can see in the photos with a couple of small nicks here and there. Specifically, there are some nicks between the top and the trunk. The body is straight. It's never been in an accident. There is some minor surface rust on the underside of the rear bumper area - noticeable only if you crawl underneath and look up. The VIN is: 3I2526768 The car is located in Hobe Sound, FL, which is about 35 miles North of West Palm Beach. The zip code is 33455. Give me a call if you have questions about this car: Scott (813-764-6909) Here you can see the body is a touch off from the turn signal. Here is Video of the Car - Click Play! iPhone/Android Video Link - Click Here I know it can be nerve wracking to purchase a car online. Here are Answers to Questions You Might Have About Buying a Car on eBay: Q: I can’t see the car in person—what if it is not as described when I get it? A: I definitely understand where you are coming from! Here are a couple things to put your mind at ease: 1. I sent out a professional photographer who has seen the car in person and has reported back to me with high-resolution photos and HD video. We also made sure to point out any flaws the car may have. We want to be as honest and forthcoming about the car as possible. You don’t want to buy a car that you are not comfortable with. You need to know you made a good decision. If you prefer you can have an independent third party come out and inspect the car and make sure it is as we described. eBay recommends www.InspectMyRide.com. Of course you may send a friend or relative out to look at the car, or come and see it in person. Finally, eBay protects both the buyer and the seller through their program called Vehicle Purchase Protection (VPP). This program provides protection for transactions that are completed on eBay against fraud and scams. You can read about it in detail here: http://pages.motors.ebay.com/buy/purchase-protection. For example, if you pay for a vehicle and never receive it, you are covered under VPP. Q: How do I pay for the car? A: If you win the auction, here is the standard procedure that most people follow: Step 1. You make a refundable deposit on the car through eBay and Paypal (just follow the instructions from eBay after the action ends). Step 2. The owner will email or fax you a copy of the Title, and a signed Bill of Sale. Step 3. You send a bank wire to the seller’s bank for the remaining balance. Step 4. You pick up the car immediately after the bank wire is received (which usually takes about 45 minutes from the time you send it). Or, we can help you make arrangements to have the car shipped to you. Q: Can I have someone come out and look at the car? A: Of course! We’ve done the best job we can presenting the car through the photos and videos, but nothing beats seeing the car in person. Feel free to call me (813-764-6909) to set up a time to come out and see the car yourself, or to send someone to come out and inspect it.
