Vehicle Detail
1971 Cuda For your consideration is my 1971 Plymouth Cuda 383, #'s matching muscle car. 1971 is one of the most desirable years for Cuda enthusiasts as it had extremely low production numbers and was the only year for the "cheese grater" grille, fender gills, dual headlights and billboard stripes. This car was purchased by myself about 12 years ago and was repainted about 14 years ago. I believe I am the third owner; the car originated in California and I purchased it from a man in Arizona. The car is painfully original (mag 500 wheels are not), is numbers matching on motor, trans, radiator, carb, rad support, exh manifolds, etc. What I mean here is that the partual VIN is on engine and trans and all correct casting numbers on all additonal components. Car doesn't and has never had rust. I have the broadcast sheet and original warranty card. Car runs very well but is only driven a few hundred miles a year (summer time). Since it is an older restoration, one repaint to my knowledge, it is not perfect; I would rate as a 2.0 to a 2.5 on a scale of 1-4. Odometer reads 67633 and car presents itself as actual but I cannot verify this. Plum Crazy is the original color and two tone interior (black and white) is original to the Cuda and are a rare combination. Engine is a 383 4-bbl big block rated at 335 HP and it has never been apart to my knowledge and does not smoke or use oil. Cuda has the 727 torqueflight automatic with Slapstick console shifter. Fender tag reads: N42 R11 R31 V5X EN2 J54 M21 M25 M31 M88 N41 FC7 U B51 G11 G33 J45 FC7 H4XW 000 909 017426 E65 D32 BS23 N1B 126917 Terms of Sale: A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours of the auction closing date. Balance due in 7 days by cashier check, money order, or bank wire transfer. A credit card may be used but an additional 3% of the purchase price will be added.
