Vehicle Detail
2964 Triumph Herald 1200 with 5033 actual original miles!! I purchased this rare Triumph last year from the lady who received it for a College graduation present from her Father in 1964. I was amazed at the incredible low miles the car was showing but she assured me it was accurate as her lifestyle never allowed the car to be used very much at all and she totally stopped driving it in the mid-seventies but kept it stored at her home in heated attached garage up until my purchase. I did quite extensive service and mechanical restoration to get the car back up to its excellent mechanical condition it is today. Total rebuild of brake system, fuel system, new exhaust, tires and wheels (originals with hubcaps with car), all hoses and belts, cooling system service, filters, ignition system and much, much more to make it reliable, safe and enjoyable. The car was 100% original paint and had absolutely zero rust or damage but I did refinish the nose and partial sides to correct failing old paint and blemishes. The rest of the car is original paint. The convertible top was very stiff and splitting with a very yellowed rear window. I replaced it with a correct replacement top. I also replaced carpet due to some mice damage. The rest of the interior is original. The seats alone should demonstrate how low the miles are. They are like new. Convertible top boot is mint. The wood dash is original including finish and really nice. Steering wheel is not cracked and like new. I upgraded the car to 4 new Minilite style aluminum wheels but originals with hubcaps come with the car. Also, period correct Lucas fog lights were installed to achieve the right look in my opinion. This Triumph Herald is rock solid underneath and these cars are notoriously rust prone and nearly impossible to find in this condition. The car runs and drives excellent and needs nothing mechanically as it all has been done with no shortcuts taken. A very rare car in great colors of Black with red interior. This little car attracts a crowd at every car cruise and show I have ever attended. Good documentation comes with car including original owners manual, service book, sales literature and restoration receipts. Car is being sold on a free and clear Pennsylvania title.
