This little car (8 inches shorter than the Smarts available in the US) is super-fun to drive, gets tons of thumbs-ups and around 50mpg. It's in excellent condition and has some Brabus aftermarket parts. It has the original Mercedes 599cc turbo 3-cylinder with the sequential 6-speed transmission. I've owned it since 2006 and usually bring back some upgrades from my trips to Germany (new wheels, new gauges, upgraded sound system...) This car was imported from Germany in 2005 for a movie shoot in Chicago. Since Smarts didn't exist in the US at the time, it was titled in Illinois as a 1970 Mercedes kit car (go figure). It has since received a California title and is ensured as a 2008 Smart. I'm moving on to an electric Spark so it's time for someone else to play Mr. Bean :-) On Sep-22-13 at 22:58:21 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: I welcome inspections. If you are serious about the car, please visit or send a qualified inspector to make sure the car is in as good a shape -- or better -- than you picture it. I personally think the car is awesome for the reserve price I put on it, but it's not a new car. It does run like one (there is absolutely nothing wrong mechanically), but the plastic window is faded and I just noticed some small bubbles under the paint below the windshield. Btw, I paid $27,500 for it when I bought it.
