Vehicle Detail
This car was bought at an estate sale. It has had a complete restoration. We have pictures of the car during the restoration process. Just about everything is new and are authentic VW Thing parts. I have driven the car, it does need a front end alignment. All parts on the front end are new . As you can see from the pics, I'm not sure if the engine is new or rebuilt. It has a lot of new gaskets that are visible and are signs that it has been rebuilt. Look at the pics. The top is not new, but is in great condition for the year. All side curtains are there as well. I'm not sure how the heater works. I did notice that the bright light switch and the reverse light do not work. I have not checked the bulbs. The tires are like new but do not match the front ones, same size just different brand. From the way it looks, it has not been driven much after restoration. It is very clean underneath, so I have been keeping it in the garage. The paint is perfect. It has a new battery and battery box. The windsheild has a crack in it. It happened during transit and the towing company is to replace it before the end of this auction. This car is set with a low reserve and will be sold to the highest bidder. I have to give the shop that worked on this car a perfect score on attention to detail. If you know your cars then you can see by the pics what you are bidding on. I'm sure this car is show quality. It looks like the only factory parts missing are the hub caps and the bumpers, but I do have both factory bumpers, if thats what you like, they come with the car. Also, a brand new dual tip exhaust as well. It seems to have a header pipe now. It makes lot of noise right now, but I will have it installed upon winning bidders request.
