Vehicle Detail
Solid truck. Originally sold in Conover, North Carolina. It has a 390 FE with about 30,000 miles on it. The motor was purchased from Advance Auto or Autozone (so I was told by the seller), but I have made some mild modifications. New and installed on this truck are: starter, starter solenoid, alternator, battery, Pertronix electronic ignition conversion, Pertronix coil, plugs and wires (maintained regularly), Monroe shocks, transmission vacuum modulator, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold topped off with a 600 CFM Holley 4v carburetor with electric choke and a set of Hooker Competition Headers. The transmission is a three speed C-6. There’s not one hole in the original seat. All the lights work. I’ve got all the original parts to go with the truck if you’d ever want to make a numbers matching motor. The original intake weighs about 80lbs and was equipped with a 2v Motorcraft carburetor. I also have the old exhaust manifolds and air cleaner. This is a 40 year old truck, but it is in pretty good condition for its age. The top of the cab is starting to show a little rust, and the back corners by the bumper are rusted through. The carpet has a couple holes, and the headliner needs replacing. The windshield is cracked and the passenger window handle is broken (but easily repairable). The fan shroud is missing, and the steering wheel and dash pad are cracked. It has stock air condition, but I’ve removed it. The heater fan is new, but does not work. All these are easy fixes with a little more time and money than I have available at the moment.
