Vehicle Detail
1959 Dodge Royal*4 door *361 Cu In V8 *Push button automatic If you do not like drawing attention to yourself or you are faint of heart, this car is NOT for you....But if you do like attention and like having something no one else has, then maybe this car is for you. I guarantee you WILL be the center of attention in this thing. I can't go anywhere that this car doesn't draw people like a magnet.I haven't had it going all that long, but I did make it to a local cruise in where "Batman's Car" stole the show. Most everyone loves it just the way it is. But it would be a good candidate for restoration.I have done quite a bit to it already. Front brakes have been done and that is no easy task. It has 4 new wheel cylinders, shoes, and hoses in front. Most of front suspension has been cleaned and painted, also drums have been turned. I have some parts for the rear drums as well, but I would need a drum puller to remove rear drums. I have had the gas tank professionally cleaned and sealed. Also, new pickup and sender was installed. The big, BIG deal on this car was that I had the transmission rebuilt totally, and that was not cheap. The car also has new dual exhaust from the manifolds to the back bumper with glass paks and it sounds great. I found a new Carter carburetor and installed that. I put the tires and wheels that were for my '71 Satellite on and everyone thinks they look great. They are Cooper Cobras on MOPAR cop wheels with cop hubcaps. Tires have less than 500 miles on them. Most everything works on the car including the gauges in the dash. Still needs a brake light switch for the master cylinder. Radio is there, but is rough and not working. The car is tagged and insured and I drive it all over. It is for sale because I have two other car projects.I have both seats, but they are in rough shape and need recovering. There is no headliner or carpet. This car will need some front end work as it looks like nothing has been done in 54 years. The floors need work, especially the driver's side, but all patch panels are available on eBay. All in all, I say drive it the way it is and have some fun. People like it the way it is. It's hard to improve on perfection!Questions are welcomed, but serious inquiries only please! Bill of sale only with this car. The State of Alabama (where car is located) doesn't require a title with a vehicle of this age. Car will be sold as-is. THANKS FOR LOOKING!
