Vehicle Detail
1947 Chevrolet Fleetline 2 Door 79,630 actual miles 216 cu/6 cyl Engine 3 speed manual vacuum gear shift Radio Heater Clock Spot Light Fog Lights Back-up Light Front windshield washer wipers Rear window wiper Front and rear bumper extensions Front and rear bumper guards Window stainless rain guards White wall tires 600x16 4ply Hub caps with beauty rings Gas, Temperature, Oil pressure and Battery gauges all work properly. Odometer works properly but the speedometer indicator needle fluctuates. Interior is rolled and pleated leather like material in really good condition. All windows roll up and down as they should. Original glass, no cracks. This was a 1 family owned car until I purchased it in January 2011. Here is the history that was given to me: "This 1947 Chevrolet Fleet was purchased new in April of 1947 at a dealership in Dadeville, Alabama. Hoyt Still, son of Clarence Allen Still, purchased the car new and drove it for approximately three months. He could not make the payments and gave the car to his brother Wilbur Still who drove the car approximately 6 months. He could not make the payments so he gave the car to his father Clarence Allen Still\. Clarence Allen Still drove the car until his death in November 1962. Charles Allen Still, the son of Clarence Allen Still, became the owner. Charles Allen Still replaced the interior upholstery in the 1960's. The reason being Clarence Allen Still smoked cigars in the car leaving a strong cigar odor, as well as a few burn marks in the upholstery. Charles Allen Still had the car repainted black, the original color, in the 1980's. He also had a wiring harness installed by a certified mechanic in the early 1990's. Upon his death in February 2004, his granddaughter Brenda Still Chapman became the owner of the Fleetline. New brake shoes, wheel cylinders and master cylinder were put on the car in 2010 by her husband, John R. Chapman. The car remained in the family until sold to me in January 2011." From the time I purchased the car until now, I've driven the car only 87 miles. It's almost impossible to find a 1947 Fleetline that is an original straight body that has not been molested in some way. Lots of chrome and stainless trim, even the radio and clock work great. Very few original 1947 Fleetlines' exist today in this condition. Terms of sale: When auction ends, $1,000 deposit within 3 days prefer PayPal, Cash, or Wire Transfer.
