Vehicle Detail

1977 Porsche 911 SC, 95,200 miles. Car was sitting for some time when I bought it. I bought the Car from a lady that said her and her husband bought the car in 2005 from California and drove it back. The car had California plates and some receipts from California in it.Mechanically this car is extremely sound and is ready to run for a long time. The engine does not smoke and runs very strong and the tranny shifts great. I only drive the car sporadically but it starts right up for weekend drives with my wife. It idles great and the engine pulls hard. Car is in good condition, it is not a show car but a very nice early model air cooled Porsche. It is a fun car to drive where you can feel the road and feel the breeze with the Targa off. Car was repainted some time ago and color was changed from green to maroon, the only place you can tell is in the motor compartment, and even then it’s very hard to find. The body is very straight although there is one dent under the passenger door where the paint has come off. The rear bumper valance has a dent and scratch but you can’t see it unless you bend down (see pictures). The car is rust free with upgraded sport seats in very good condition, carpets are original, and the targa top is in good condition. The dash has cracks from California sun, the back deck has some sun damage, and the door panels are in alright condition. Overall the interior is in good condition for a ’77. A recent service history is provided below where almost $6300 has been spent to make this a sound and safe mechanical car. Improvements have been made to the brakes, suspension, and engine. Car has older konis on it and still handles like an older 911. It is a great, fun little car ready for a new home. I have several Porsches in our family and this one has to go. This Car is Rust Free. Recent Service History: 95K Miles * Replaced seals * Valve cover gaskets * Chain covers * New oil level sender unit * New oil pressure * Removed and capped emissions control system 92K Miles – $1,179 * New Carrera oil cooler 91K Miles - $5,117 * New upgraded Weltmeister sway bar kit * SS brake lines installed * New rear brake pads * Replaced fuel tank with good used unit * New Brake master cylinder * New airbox pop off valve * Transmission fluid changed * New cam oil feed lines * New fuel pressure accumulator $$$ On Sep-09-13 at 18:28:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note i'm trying to disclose the condition of the car as honestly as possible. It is an extremely nice car but does have some wear and tear after 36 years. My description errors on the conservative side because we all expect perfection from our cars and i want the winner to be happy with their purchase.
