My “Baby” is for sale! I adopted my 1999 Ford F150 Extended Cab Pickup on March 3, 2003. She was virtually a newborn with only 109,814 miles on her. Over the next 10-1/2 years she has never let me down, but she has needed a little assistance occasionally. Below are the major fixes she has had done to her. She has always had regular lubes and oil changes with the filters being changed every time. She still doesn’t need a quart between changes and has a current Maryland emissions control certificate. The ONLY reason I am selling her now is that my human friend feels “uncomfortable” riding in a truck with 276,000 miles on her so I just bought a 2009 Ford F150 pickup with 113,100 miles on it and I really don’t need two reliable trucks. I just returned from a 1950 mile round trip to northern Maine in my 1999 F150 without any truck problems whatsoever. She gets about 13 mpg in the city but most of my miles are on long trips (over 1000 miles at a time) and if you keep your speed down to 65 mph, I have been getting about 17 mpg. She has good tires on the rear and two brand new ones on the front (over $400 invested about 6 months ago). She is clean inside and out. The two cancer awareness ribbons on the tailgate are magnetized and come off easily. Although all repairs were done either by a Ford Dealer or by my local service stationI also have a CD with the Ford Motor Company Factory Service Shop Manuals covering the truck included with the truck.
