This beautiful 1970 Datsun 2000 Roadster is painted in the original 563 Sora Blue color with matching wheel rims. Mileage 64,487 on a professionally rebuilt engine. I have had it only six months and 1,000 miles, but must downsize for an unexpected move overseas. I looked at a lot of sports cars before buying this one. It's a classic, maybe the most reliable convertible sports car ever made. There is no rust on the frame and almost no rust anywhere on the body. The car has spent all but five years of its life in California. During its time outside CA, the owner kept it in a climate-controlled garage. VIN #SRL311-13840, engine #14769. In the early ‘00s, the engine was professionally rebuilt, the head re-torqued, and new starter and clutch installed. I have had a pro mechanic install a new electronic ignition and also sync the carbs and adjust the valves to maximum performance. I also had a pro completely check over the electrical—the headlamps and all minor bulbs and fuses have been replaced—but the original stock radio does not work and the original clock turns over still but is slow. I also had a new pump for the wiper fluid installed plus a recent oil change, oil filter, air filter, and topped-off coolant. This car is ready to go! The beauty of the car has also been restored and maintained: new rag top, four new tires, and all chrome redone. Seats and door panels are in excellent condition except for a few small tears. The original carpets are in excellent condition. The original dash, steering column, and console look great. The original tonneau cover and an after-market car cover come with the deal. There are a few stone chips, a small ding in one fender, and a small ding on one piece of trim. I’ve had this car on stands—the frame and body are straight with no rust. The original spare wheel/tire combo with original vinyl covering is in the trunk, along with the original jack, tire iron, and a couple of wrenches in a pouch. The lock on the trunk does not work well so I have installed a safety release cable and generally use that to open the trunk. I will also provide the original Datsun Roadster Owner’s Manual, the Handbook and Service Manual, and an original color sales brochure. Sold “As Is.” No warranty written or implied. As long as full payment has been made, I can keep the car on my property at no charge for a month, but the car is the buyer’s responsibility after the payment is made.
