Vehicle Detail

1977 Pontiac Trans Am Pontiac 6.6 400 Motor 3 Speed Automatic Transmission 83,204 Miles on odometer VIN: 2W87Z7N248205 Please read over the entire description and full terms of the sale. If you have zero or little feedback please contact me through the ebay link "contact seller" before making any offers or using the BIN option. I have been the proud owner of this 1977 Pontiac Trans Am since 2006. I have done some updating to it over the years and have had a lot of good memories driving the car. It is time to let it go and move onto some other toy. This is a 1977 Pontiac T/A with T-tops, Pontiac 400 6.6 motor, 3 speed automatic transmission, shaker hood with the WS4 package. I will include with the car a quality car cover "that fits this model", a bolt kit from F-Body warehouse for the interior, original build sheet seen in the photos, a sleeping bag to store the T-Tops in when off the car and any other goodies I come across for it. Some of the updates that have been done to the car are. Car was repainted before I got it to it's current color. A full decal kit was put on and looks pretty nice. Paint is not 100%. There are a few spots where you can see that proper sanding was not done and could use some touching up from a autobody or paint expert, but not necessary. I installed a brand new Flaming River tilt steering column. Trans had a new filter put on it and a Fel Pro thick gasket put on the pan because the old cork one had a tiny leak. It seems to be holding just fine now. There have been some gauges added for oil pressure, temp and voltage. I replaced some of the fuel lines in the past because they were bad. There is a manual choke located inside the car next to the ignition switch. Driver side door light striker was replaced and the interior light now works. I put a new battery in the car within the first few years of owning the car. Has also been updated withe a CD player for cruising. Car starts up and runs fine. Gears shift solid and function as they should. Brakes seem a little soft to me. The car will stop when you apply them, they just do not seem as responsive as they used to be. I would recommend trailering the car home and going over them thoroughly before going out on a long haul. Some of the seals are not perfect. You can leave as is or replace. The last time I drove the car all the lights and signals were working properly. Car does not have AC. Tire tread is low, but tires are ok for Summer use. This is a 36 year old car that is not perfect and needs a little loving attention once in awhile. There are endless options out there for these cars now and this is a solid start for anyone. Body is pretty clean under paint and on the bottom side. No huge rust holes or any of the typical things you may see. I believe the prior owner had put in some new replacement floor pans and possibly some other metal before painting. Interior is pretty clean. There are a couple little burn spots on the Driver side floor mat from a hot light that got on it. You can see this in the interior photo shots. Dash is clean and crack free. The tach does not work in the dash. The clock works sometimes and sometimes not at all. Speedometer works fine and the other added gauges keep you up to date on the cars status. These are the issues I know about the car to the best of my knowledge. I encourage you to come look over the vehicle before committing to a offer or using the BIN option. Payment: $500.00 non-refundable payment due within 24 hours of the end of the auction through PayPal. The remainder will be cash in person. Clear title will be signed over to you after I receive payment. I will gladly meet you at a local bank for the withdrawl if you are uncomfortable carrying that much cash. No other form of payment will be accepted or considered. Shipping: This is pickup only. You can do as you like with the car after I have payment in hand and title signed over to you. I do require ID to be copied for proof to PayPal for the $500.00 deposit required within the first 24 hours of the end of the auction. I will also take a picture of you with the car as proof. This protects me as a seller and you as a buyer. I will not ship the car or sign any paperwork to any shipping service. Car may be picked up at a time that works for both the seller and the buyer. I would be available for pickup in the evenings M-F and all day Saturday/Sunday. Feedback: I leave feedback as soon as cleared payment is received. Once you receive your item please feel free to leave feedback. Please ask any questions if there are any issues so I can resolve them before leaving unfavorable feedback. I will go the extra mile to take care of my buyers. Returns: Absolutely no returns. Car is sold AS IS. Please read over the entire description so you understand what you are purchasing. I encourage anyone to come check the car out in person before making a final bid or offer. I will gladly let you look over the car at a time that is convenient for both of us. No joy rides, don't even bother asking. I have included in the description what I know to be good and bad with the car to the best of my knowledge. If you have a question, ask it.
